There are plenty of anti-virals on the market, and plenty of strains of cold viruses. We use anti-virals for lots of other viral infections, but not the common cold. Is it that we risk the development of resistance?

the global airlines industry has proved to be fertile ground for the formation of several strategic alliances. In 1989, Singapore Airlines, Swissair and Delta Airlines formed the Global Excellence Alliance. Since it brought together three of the world’s top 20 airlines, the alliance received much publicity; it was hailed as the first of its kind and expected to lead to significant benefits for the partner firms. However, by November 1997, Singapore Airlines had pulled out of the alliance, thus dissolving the trilateral venture. Interestingly, neither Swissair nor Delta seemed to express much regret at the dissolution of the trilateral alliance. This case illustrates the impact of three crucial factors, namely environmental developments, shifting internal priorities and strategies, and the congruence between the particular alliance and the overall alliance strategy, as well as corporate strategy, on the longevity of alliance. The case provides a concrete illustration of the benefits as well as drawbacks of alliances as well as the dynamic nature of alliance strategy.

Concerned about her relationship, a woman approaches her doctor and says, "Doc, I'm getting married this weekend and my fiance thinks I'm a virgin & I'm not! Is there anything you can do to help me?"

The doctor says, "Medically, no, but here's something you can try. On the wedding night, when you're getting ready for bed, take an elastic band and slide it to your upper thigh. When your husband puts it in, snap the elastic band and tell him it's your virginity snapping."

The woman loves this idea and knows her hubby will fall for this. They have a beautiful wedding and retire to the honeymoon suite. The wife gets ready for bed in the bathroom, slips the elastic band up her leg, finishes preparing and climbs into bed with her man.

Things begin to progress - her hubby "slips it in" and just then she snaps the elastic band. The hubby asks, "What the heck was that?"

The wife explains, "Oh nothing honey, that was just my virginity snapping."

The husband cries out, "Well snap it again, it's got my balls!"

I have been having some pretty serious "woman" problems, such as chronic pelvic pain and inflamation, extremeley heavy periods and painful periods, vulvodynia, etc....they can't seem to find a cause for the pelvic pain and inflamation, all my cultures came back negative and my pap smear came back abnormal with moderate to severe dysplasia...I go in for a colposcopy and biopsy tomorrow...I have 3 children and had a tubal ligation in June, my question is can I request to have a hysterectomy to my doctor? I really think that it would help with my symptoms...and I already have children...my sister had an emergency hysterectomy at 23 because she developed cervical cancer....would my doctor consider this or is it something they only do as a last resort?

I was checking out wikipedia about New Media and I came upon the word, "portmanteau". That only means to combine words, basically. Somehow I found a word on the page, that lead me to wonder about "thought disorder". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thought_disorder
WHAT IS "THOUGHT DISORDER"??? Doesn't that seem like an OXYMORON? Our brains are constantly processing information. No matter how this happens... as long as the brain attempts to process any thought... how can there be a disorder? -Unless someone is in a coma or in a catatonic state? Even autistic and/or mentally handicapped people process thought. That is what the human brain does. If anyone goes to the site, that I listed above... let me know your opinion about "Thought Disorder". I am, just, boggled. Not looking for confrentation, just looking for opinions. -Thank you, all.

Okay.... This is my question..
I downloaded a landscape program from Shareware.com and when I go to open the file it shows the "piece of paper with a magnifying glass" icon and says " Click the program you want to use to open 'Bryce5FreeVersionPC.zip'. If the program is not on the list, click other. Choose the program you want to use:" and it lists several programs and, of course, the "ok", "cancel" and "other" button. But what I'm confused about is which program it needs to be opened with. I've tried everything listed and it keeps coming up saying it's the wrong program... etc etc. I've even tried programs from different parts of my computer.. not just the listed. If anyone knows what this program needs to run on please let me know. It would be greatly appreciated. The icon for the downloaded program continues to stay the "flying windows" icon until then. heh.

Thank you again, Nichole

To whom it may concern,

I am currently a high school student and today was basically the most horrific day in my life, for i was caught supposedly for cheating. Of course, I do not admit that i cheated, not at all, but my teacher--without accepting any of my comments--had basically claimed that i cheated, giving me a zero on a paper that lowers my grade 2% to 3% as a result. This is an AP class that i am informing to you, and currently, I have a 92.3%, which i have achieved very hard, even sacrificing my hours of sleep. So i would like to briefly summarize what has happened. There was homework based on a video we watched and it was due today, meaning that we had yesterday to work on. Thus, i have finished all my work at 5 o'clock a.m.--still sacrificing my sleeping hours like usual, giving me an hour and a half of sleep for a day--and came to class. My friend, who attempted his homework and finished 3/4 of it, has asked me help for a particular question (one question) because he did not understand what the question was asking. Since the question was complex and hard to explain, i decided to show what i have written for my answer so that he can get an idea of what the question is asking. Of course, like always, i told him not to copy my answer before i gave him my work because i knew cheating is an illegal rule within the school. While my friend was holding my paper, my teacher witnessed this scene, and soon claimed that we were cheating, giving us a zero. I denied very hard, for i was just doing a beneficent action, trying to help my friend. I even claimed that i would receive a 50% on it as a consequence, but nothing worked. We were definitely not intending to cheat and he did not ask me for a particular problem to see my answers and copy exactly what i have wrote. I just wanted to help, and that's all, but as a result, doing something good gave me a zero, a very harsh consequence to me personally.
What i really want as a answer from you is that is this cheating? If so, is this a fair consequence? My goal is to get into a good college but this one assignment may ruin my dream, for this one assignment can give me a B, something what i do not want as a semester grade. You may just think, "Oh its just a B", but for me, a B is a F. This grade can depend on my future, for i want to major in something related to biology (yes, this is a AP bio class). I believe that my consequences should at least be less severe and i want your opinion. I believe that cheating is an action where the person knows and plans to cheat. But for me, in this case, I did not intend to cheat, or have him copy exactly what I wrote on my homework. Of course, there are many ways for me to inform my ideas but what came to my mind right at that moment is for me to show what i wrote so he can get the idea what the question is asking about. Is this cheating? I did not even think about cheating; I just wanted to help, and how i showed my answer is what my brain told me to do. In addition, I want to know what the exact definition of cheating really is. What is cheating? To what extent is cheating? If i were to instead tell my friend what i wrote (as a brief summary but not word for word), isnt this also cheating since he is using my idea? If this was cheating, then everything would be cheating. Why is my teacher ruining my life for this one assignment? I wanted to help a student and i did so. What happened? I got a zero.

From,
A student

Please reply, I need your help.
