The word 'the' in that part of the movie title implies something other than a proper name (i.e., a title, a position, etc). Can someone explain this to me?

I wasn't sure where to place this question -- movies or religion, so I'm opting for religion.

im so sick and tired of my life im mean just everything and whats most of all is that i feel stupid. i keep letting myself be hurt by this boy who treats me bad and like i just cant stop myself. somtimes i say well i gotta take wha i can get but is that the right thing to to do ? the boy is using me he's in a long distance realtionship and wheneber his girfriend makes him horny he comes to me and is all nice but i wish he would be that way everyday it's like if it aint sex then it aint nothing he wont hold me or anything else just sex and when he's done he just leaves gets up and goes back to sleep pand after everytime it happens i cry cuz i feel like a prostitute or somthing or a hoe i just dont know i feel somthing for him i mean even if he just kisses my neck i get soooooooooooo weak and on a high that is soooooo high it's just unbelievable. i love him but i dont like being on the back burner or the second one he just so mean i tell him not to touch me and he does anyway just help

about 6 weeks ago, i might this girl, from my school. we mostly e-mailed, exchanging poetry and she gave me a CD of her reading her work. she admits that she has, or had, i'm not sure, feelings for me but that she can't have them anymore bc she is starting a new relationship. i understand why she chose to be with him- she knows him better and i am graduating and leaving the state. i feel that i'm falling in love with her bc i want very much for her to be happy and i feel selfless towards her. if she hurts me, and she has, i can't be mad at her bc i immediately think of her feelings. i think that is a quality of being in love but do you think i am really falling in love?

My son was tested by a Dr a few years ago and he said my son is gifted but may appear to some to be 'ADHD' because of his active "must learn" nature. Every year I've had to deal with teachers telling me that I should consider medicating my child. I've always told myself that I would not even CONSIDER medicating him unless his grades were poor. The teachers at his school have nicknamed him "Pixi Stick Boy" and ask him every morning "how many Pixi Sticks did you eat this morning before you came to school?" - my son has been labeled as 'ADHD' in the schools but 'gifted' by the Dr. Can a child be gifted ~AND~ ADHD? I'll be the first to admit he is QUITE active and his mouth never stops moving, lol - but is that reason to medicate when he's a straight A student? Just looking for opinons on the matter or experienced parents/teachers/Dr's who have been through it- thanks :)

I've got a transformer to get the voltage down to Japanese standard (100V) but will the adapter actually work when I get it?

The transformer will take the 240V from the wall, then step it down to 100V which the Wii ac adapter should in turn step down to 12V for the Wii...is that right?
