There are always the snacks but you really mean something more substantial.

How about preparing open sandwiches with a choice of meats and cheeses?

Or there’s a Hot Sauce recipe, served with chips. It’s fast to prepare and very tasty.

Another good idea is ‘Pigs in a blanket’ – wiener sausages wrapped in pastry.

Keep food and beer away from the table, it stains easily. You can make 'poker chip dip' by peeling cucumber and zuccini (corguette) lengthwise and then chopping across into 'chips'... More home poker game advice here: http://www.church-of-texas-holdem.com/how-to-set-up-poker-tournament.html

something that's easy to eat and not messy.. celery sticks with dip are good.. different types of cheese on crackers.. if you're looking for a whole meal, then I'd go with something you can eat with one hand like hamburgers or hotdogs.. that way they can hold their cards in one hand and eat with the other.. something like steak you need two free hands to eat, unless it's all cut up already..

Aristotle's right - nothing greasy; sub sandwiches are good.

Lots of beer, but use coasters because it's a pain when you get the cards wet...
