My husband come home from work this evening and told me of how he received a gift basket from someone. When I asked where all the goodies went he said there weren't that many and that he gave them to coworkers. I was fine with this, I asked if he saved the basket at least, we could recycle and he said the goodies all came attached to one another with ribbon.
I asked him if he got a card with the gifts and he said no. I asked him if he knew who it came from he said yes. It came from an ex employer from years ago in Mississippi, we currently live in TX. I am suspicious that a corporation sends gifts without basket or box. Should I be suspicious of this being a lie or should I be thankful that he told me about it at all? I am very happy in our marriage, I just find that the gift thing was a little weird. Thanks for all your responses.

Honestly, has anybody any advice to offer? He cheated on me when our daughter was 5 months old. When I found out three months later, his words were "Do you think I'm proud? Why dont you get some self confidence and take your clothes off once and awhile?" This was after he was still going to deny it, untill I told him I had talked to the other woman earlier. Then, when he and she both say it only happened once, his phone records indicate he called her way more than ONCE. This, after he's "not gonna lie anymore" is another lie. And whats worse, after he cheated, he proposed to me! This was when I had no clue he was sneeking around. I found out about three weeks after he gave me the ring. I dont know what to do. I dont know when to believe him or not. I dont know if its worth "trusting someone" when you really dont know if you do. I dont know how to get these images of the two of them in some bar parking lot out of my head. I'm litterally going crazy. Is there any hope?

the hope was too much

i finally thought i had it
i dreamt of it all summer
i would finally get
what i wanted for years
your friendship
the time was right
finally
i was no longer obligated to anyone
i gave up years of my life for selfish people
and i no longer felt the eternal, unwarranted guilt
i paid the dues
that i never owed
you all liked me
i always liked you
and for these last few months we were together
i hoped we would be friends
but
the hope was too much
i was weak
i could never bring myself to cross
the imaginary line
that exists
between us
in my mind
is the line real
will i never know
will i ever reach out and touch it
or am i creating it
with my inhibitions
the thin line has turned into a wall
that has kept me away from you all
for so long
can i ever scale it?
i doubt it
if i could not cross a line in 12 years
how can i scale a wall in four months?
even when you reached out from across the wall
i never could reach you
i got so close
and you came closer
so many times
my heart and mind wanted to go to you
but my arm wouldn't move
and i guess you gave up
and now so have i
and now you are on your side of the wall

because now i think its over

I need to know if anyone out there has had anger management or therapy to control anger. Did it help? I am ready to take my kids and leave because my husband is mean to the kids. For years he has said he will get help. If he ever gets help I wonder if he will change. I think if he really wanted to change he would. (with or without therapy) He knows the kids don't love him (they tell me all the time), he knows that abused kids will treat their own kids the same way, he know they will have a higher chance of going to prison and having drug problems. But like everything else he says it;s not his fault. It's the kids fault for making him so angry (typical abuser remark) So should I give hubby a chance if he promises to get help? I really wish he would go away, He knows that we will be better off with out him.

(kids are 9,7,5,3) (he did not want the last 2 he kept saying he was going to get "snipped"- he still hasn't but I have. Also the problem was not there until 4 yrs ago
