Read the Federal Firearms regs...black powder arms aren't BY LAW classified as "firearms" (used to anyway...I don't think things have changed THAT much). Burt check just the same...state statutes, too.

Most often you cannot have a firearm if you have been convicted of a felony. That means own or use..

What state are you in and I could tell you for sure.

No firearms are allowed to be possessed by a felon. However you can hunt with a bow and arrow!
