who here knows what these animals are? they are monkeys and why are they smaller?

Gibbons aren't monkeys because they don't have a tail. They are actually small apes. There are grouped in the group of the lesser apes which is different from the great apes such as gorillas. They are probably smaller because of adaptations needed to survive.
