I have had sleeping problems my whole life and I really need to find a way to shut off my mind at night. Meditation, over the counter pills, all have failed. When I was younger this was not much of a problem, but now with work I find I really need to solve this issue. Any suggestions that you feel may help?

I am looking for opinions on the new gaming systems. Xbox, PS3 and Wii. Generally, I am interested in a family gaming experience. We currently have a Gamecube and enjoy games like Mario Cart, SSX Tricky, and Mario Party. We also like play PC games like World of Warcraft, Feeding Frenzy and Shadow Magic. I am particularly intrigued by the commercial that shows some of the physical activity associate with the Wii system. It sure would not hurt us if we actually got exercise while playing video games. Wadda ya think?

Could anyone please explain to me the concept of the "unitized body construction"? The salesman did try to explain it, but didn't do a very good job.

Thank you

I'm genuinely curious and I'm not trying to criticize anyone's choices.

I admit I prefer traditional spellings. When I see fairly common names spelled creatively (Emmaleigh, Jaykob, Maddysyn, etc) I only see the problems and not any benefits. I think little Maddysyn is still going to have to be Maddysyn H in class to differentiate her from the 3 other Madisons. She will constantly have to spell her name for others. People who read her name on everything from essays to job applications may form unflattering and incorrect opinions about her intelligence or personality simply because her name is "misspelled."

Many parents love unique spellings, though, so I wonder if there's a benefit I just don't see. If you've chosen or plan to choose a non-traditional spelling for your child's name, I'd love to know why.

Why do spouses cheat when they are deployed?

Case 1: Husband is in the military and he cheats with someone in his unit? He brings home a STD to his pregnant wife and makes her believe it’s her. Note she was fully tested by doctor before she became pregnant and while pregnant before he came home.

Case 2: Wife is in the military becomes pregnant while deployed go home for two weeks R & R returns back to Iraq and tells her husband she is with child. The dates don’t add up with the doctor’s speculation.

Case 3: The other spouse of case 1 & case 2 hooks up for a short time but cuts one another off when spouses return. Spouses here are tested for the mysterious STD from case 1 and he/she is cleared (case 2/3) but she is not(case1) therefore it came from case 1 husband.

How can the wife tell the husband in case 1 it was him that brought it home? She have already proven her case by saying she was fully tested before she became pregnant with his baby. And yes its his baby in case 1. Case 1 still walks around like he is so innocent. Also spouse found emails to prove her point dated back while he was away. Should she leave him since he lied and she told the truth?

I have a beatiful 1 year old daughter with a not so great ex. He and I got into a tif about 7 months ago that turned phyisical on his part and he accidentally struck our daughter. Ever since then (although it was an accident) I haven't had much to do with him. DCF is involved and he is only allowed to see our daughter 1 hour a month with supervised (by Safe Childrens Coilition) visitation. He can get more visitation, he just has to complete the tasks they have asked him to...until then if he goes near her without permission he will be put in jail. Anyways, I am getting married in two weeks to a wonderful man and father. My daughter absolutely adores him and likewise. My fiance' is really the only father she has known. Her real dad has had 7 months (with no provail) to get his act together and nothing. He pays me no child support and never buys things for her because he has no job, but he does always give me a hard time. Is there anything I can do?! has anyone been where I am?Even a lil
