Generally people who think they are better than others are just trying to get attention from that person so that they can hide the fact that they are not actually better than the person but they are just Jealous so they try to make the person feel bad about themselves. I think they should try and look at themselves first an realize that some persons are better than others in certain things and that they shouldn't feel bad, the reason why that person is better is because they practiced or they have a gift so if they want to become as good as that person they should believe in themselves and practice and try to get as good as that person and stop being selfish.

I usually feel kind of sorry for them. I think when a person thinks they're "better" than someone else that it's a cover up for some weakness they must have or some kind of feeling of insecurity. I may not be the prettiest, the smartest or the wealthiest but we are all people...we all get up and take a crap at some point in the day and we all have our nasty little habits from smoking to picking our noses...No one is better than me....We are all equal.
I didn't mean to rattle on. Anyway, the answer to your question is I have PITY for them

You know what? They're jealous! They know that you're the best person in the world, but they deny it. You probably have more social relationships than them, get better grades, succeed in your tasks and goals in your life... Just, don't worry about anything. If it's a serious problem, then go talk to a counselor, but I doubt you would absolutely have to.

Who needs them, move on. There are many good folks out there that have very little money or status. Some of these folks are really blessed with common sense and wisdom.
A rich mans only strength is money. Money is a poor mans only weakness.

There is noone in the world who can love you more than yourself. Outside admiration is bonus love. You are one of God's creations and he loves you. You are the best he can make. Let those who will let the dislike for themselves do and say what they will. Know that you are loved by God and yourself and all other love is a bonus. Let me tell you a story similar to what you may experiencing. My office manager was brutal and rough talking person to everyone. It took years to finally get to him. He was agressive and rude for about ten years. He had a heart attack in another city away from his home. I was in the office that morning when they called and told the secretary what happened. Everyone in the office cheered and one said " It's impossible for him to have a heart attack....he doesn't have one". Man...I felt more sorry for the person who said that than the office manager. Well, a few days after he arrived home I called and asked if he needed and bread items (we worked at a bakery), his reply was "you coming to spy on me and make sure I really had a heart attack"? I said no and asked again. I carried him and his family the items he asked for. Upon arriving, his wife met me at the door (this being the first time I had met her) and said "you alone". I kinda snickered and said yes and went in. He was on the sofa and she joined him as I sat the items in the kitchen. He sadi " you going to take pictures too, I bet the people at the office are real happy this happened"? I said I wouldn't know. You see, this is the type person he was. His dislike for himself or his situation makes him this way. Well some ten years later after he had retired and left the company he came back to visit ME, can you imagine that..ME. He told me that I was the only one at the plant that would talk to him. I told him he was welcome to come back to see me any time. About three years after that his son lost an infant son to SIDS. I went to the funeral and saw him. He was a much more subdued man. It looked like his spirit was gone. I walked up to him and said Hi, it's good to see you again. He looked up at me and said in his old mean voice "I bet everyone thinks this is payback for me huh"? I said I don't and I came to tell you I am praying for you still. At that moment I realized God had been letting this man's anger and outward hostilities show me just a very small way in which he loves us. I mean a very, very, very small way. OK...I am through...Just love yourself and know that God truly loves you and seek the bonuses.

In general, I try to avoid them. Any effort it would take to convince them otherwise is effort I'd rather not devote to them. They don't deserve my time and effort.
And besides, with an attitude like that, they'll sooner or later self-destruct.
