Primetime had a special about this last night,what could we as citizens do if we saw this?

I'm having a problem when writing essays, when to use what tense. Should an essay be used all in one tense? What kind of tenses usually go together, like you should not have past and present in the same paragraph, etc.. Thanks

A prosperous businessman proposed to a beautiful girl and she agreed to spend the night with him for $300.00. When he was ready to leave in the morning, he told her that he did not have any money with him, and he would have his secretary write her a check for it and mark it "Rent of
Apartment".

On his way to his office, he decided that the whole thing was not worth the price he had agreed to pay on, he advised his secretary to send a check for $250.00, with the following note:

Dear Madam,
Enclosed is my check for the amount of $250.00 for the rent of your apartment. I am not sending the amount agreed upon because when I rented the apartment, I was under the impression that:

(1) It had never been used
(2) There was plenty of heat
(3) It was small

Last night I found it had been occupied, that there was not any heat and it was entirely too large.

Upon receipt of the note, the girl immediately replied and returned the check with the following note:

Dear Sir,

I am returning your check for $250.00. I cannot understand how you expected such a beautiful apartment to remain unoccupied, as for heat, there was plenty of it, if you knew how to turn it on, and for the size, it is not my fault if you did not have enough furniture to fill it.

They are not really hurting "MOM", but the CHILD.
I have seen men date and live with women that have kids by someother man. Taking care of the kids that are not his. Running down the kids deadbeat dads. But He is doing the exact same thing. Refusing to be in "THEIR OWN" kids lifes.

This man goes to confession and says, "Forgive me father for I have sinned." The priest asks if he would like to confess his sins and the man replies that he used the "F-word" over the weekend.
The priest says, "Oh ok, just say three Hail Marys and try to watch your language.

The man replies that he would like to confess as to why he said the "F-word". The priest sighs and tells him to continue.
"Well father I played golf on Sunday with my buddies instead of going to church."
The priest says, "And you got upset over that and swore?"
The man replied, "No, that wasn't why I swore. On the first tee I hooked my drive well left into the trees."
The priest said, "And that's when you swore."

The man replied, a little testily because of the constant interruptions, "No, it wasn't. When I walked up the fairway, I noticed my ball got a lucky bounce and I had a clear shot to the green. However, before I could hit the ball, a squirrel ran by and grabbed my ball and scurried up a tree."
The priest asked, "Is that when you said the 'F-word'?"

The man replied, "No, because an eagle then flew by and caught the squirrel in its sharp talons and flew away."
The priest let out a breath and queried, "Is that when you swore?"
The man replied, "No, because the eagle flew over the green and the dying squirrel let go of my golf ball and it landed within 5 inches of the hole."
The priest screamed, "Don't tell me you missed the f***ing putt!"

we have been together for only two weeks but things were going great, we spent alote of time together and it seemed like he loved having me around even told me he couldnt wait to see me agian, but i asked him to come to my house couse i had some things to do at home and for some odd reason it was well i think we should slow down. so iam very confused now, couse i thought things were going good and he says i might have mis interprited it, if i did then then how can i trust how it seems he feels? i am serously thinking about ending it all together i dont want to be on an emotional roller coaster..

I originally posted this in the cell phone section, but since it really is a question regarding the PDA functioning, I thought I would post it here as well.

I am interested in purchasing the Palm Treo 700p from Sprint. I've been reading a lot of reviews on the device and although people seem to like it, they complain about the OS being stale. I guess this is referring to it being old? Does anyone know if a newer version will be released anytime soon (or a newer smartphone in general)? I am going to be upset with myself if I spend all this money, only to find in January a new, better, and probably cheaper smartphone is available.

Opinions and advice are appreciated. Thank you so much in advance for your help!

I have been done with this attorney for 2 years since my divorce was final. I have been slow paying, but mainly because she did a terrible job in representing me. Also she charged me for reading a couple of my ex-husband's attorney's letters to her, even after the divorce was finalized, hence the reason for slow-pay. I do, however pay her faithfully ever month. Last month I requested a break down from their accounts receiveable department. She sent me an invoice yesterday and put accounts receivable printout "NC" (No Charge), but underneath she put conference with client 1.5 hours, $300.00, November 9th 2006. I have not spoken to her or anyone in her office since November 2004. I think she is bullying me.

Anyone have similar problems with Attorneys?

I have a little brother a year younger than me. He doesn't talk and it is very hard to open him up. He utters a few words and just this Thanksgiving he actually had dinner with us. Last year he didn't. I am starting to see a little difference and I am wondering if I can say or do something to make him feel more comfortable around the family? He is 22. He doesn't work and he stopped going to school. I think something may have happened to him at school (ie:teasing?) I wish I couold help him get a job or SOMETHING?
