First and foremost, intervene no matter what may happen. Ask the person if they are in trouble, then right in front of the caregiver use your cell phone (everyone has one now) and call 911 and report it. It is against the law and the person doing the abusing should not be allowed around the elderly. Our heritage and family histories lie with our elderly and they should be revered and respected not mistreated.

report them to several authorities starting with the police, and do not consider it snitching, because if it was your mother or father you would probably want someone to do the same.that is one of the most crueless thing a person can do,we too will gain old age and be childlike again,so we better treat the ederly right, not to mention you will have to deal with the Creator on the day of reckoning weather you believe it or not,you can not go through this brief journey and act like a nut and expect nothing to come from your works.

Their is an immediate solution and that is speak to the nursing home or the hospital adminstration. You can ask not for them to mention you buy name. Most states also have in the licesnse of the Doctor, Nurse or Nurse aid a history of any abuse or theft. It is illegal and just not right. I just wish the law would permit for us the strikle back and hit the abuser, maybe they would think once or twice.

Thje supervisor of a facility will not do anything about it. Always call State Department of Human Services authorities. When possible, contact the victim's family. If it's ongoing, invest in a camera phone!

There are two things that you have to consider, one the senior may be a pain and causes problems, or the caretaker is just in it for the money, I think that you should report it because you don't know what could happen to the senior
