I often communicate in several languages.

On a regular PC I had no trouble with typing a unicode character such as a letter "e" with an accent. I would just hold down the Alt key and then type in the corresponding code.

I have two laptops and neither one of them allow me to press Alt + the code for the letter.

I've had to first type the character in Word and then cut and paste or go to Char Map and copy and paste the character. This slows me down considerably.

Any help would be much appreciated

I am putting together my plans for opening a jewelry store. Someone just recommended that I not buy my finished pieces from overseas factories (which I had been thinking was the best way to go but I was not sure which factories and where...Bangkok? China?) and to instead consider using the following U.S. distributors, who are said to manufacture themselves and not import:

Stuller
Quality Gold
Hoover & Strong

Does anyone know of any others? One of these looks very good but the other two are not offering the kind of stuff I want - finished jewelry and not parts/components.
