My hair is curly and totally unmanageable and when I look into the mirror I feel like crying when I see the reflection. I feel I am not at all confident when my hair is curly. I keep myself away from the crowd or gatherings because I don’t want to be noticed. Both my parents have straight hair. My mother had curly hair when she was young but now its straight and she herself doesn’t know how it became straight. I have tried relaxing but immediately after I wet my hair twice or thrice its back to square one. I always wonder if there was some scientific way to restructure and make the new hair that grows to be straight from the roots. Are there people or hair experts trying to find out a solution for people like us around around the world.What is the component that makes ones hair curly or straight? If there is something like that can they induce that component into the scalp and alter it instead of chemical treatments? I know it sounds crazy.

This is a link to a story regarding world condemnation of Israel for killing yet more civilians.

My question: how is it that the U.S. can continue to defend Israel carte blanche in killing civilians when Israel is going after militants but when Islamic states kill civilians to defend itself they're terrorists?

Sounds like a double standard to me. Human rights are human rights, Jew or Muslim. Agreed?

My bf abused me in june coz he saw me dancing with another guy. He broke up n told me im a cheap gurl along with abuses . then he stopped contacting me. But after a month he started contacting through text mesgs. Again not very pleasant mesgs. but now on 14th he again abused me as he kept asking me through text mesgs if i had gone on a date with another guy. But i kept silent and he again abused me through mesgs tht im a prostitute. He told me he wants to slap me n abuse me . When 2 mesgs were sent by chance to him by me, He abused me n mesgd tht if another mesg i send...he will break my hands n abused me. Why does he abuse me???I replied tht im very much scared of him n to keep away from me . Will he again mesg or contact me???

Hi. I'm very behind (in fact hardly started!) in the first block of M150 with Open Uni because of personal problems. I've got an extension until next Tuesday to hand in my TMA (which isn't good as l've only just started this course!)...stupid question but where are the TMA01 questions? I've flicked through the 5 books we received and learnt much of the stuff last year at college so think l should be able to answer the questions if l could find them!. Please help, where should l be looking??. Don't want to ask my tutor as he thinks l've already looked at the questions.....and l feel silly enough!. Thanks all.

I do sometimes. Once some kid threw bread at my table and it hit me so I threw the bread back and ended up spilling chocolate milk all over their clothes. That one kid deserved it; he was an a.s.s.hole. That was 7th grade. Now I give people a little push and shove....

I see it all the time. Maybe because I live in the Bible-belt where people seem a little to extreme. People coming out of church mimicing what their minister said. Almost nobody looks anything or finds out for themselves. I especially think that this is the problem with misunderstanding other religions or denominations. People thinking that their own group is "good" and going to heaven and everyone else is "bad" and going to hell unless converted. So, are people just to lazy to find out for themselves?

Once i stopped drinking my family and friends stopped being the friends i used to know... i believe it is because my life is getting better and their lives are not... i really need some great insight, wisdom and understanding from others who know what i am going through... even other people i am now friends with who do not drink seem to be jealous of my recovery and life... i just dont know what the hell to do... please help, because i dont think my life is that much greater then anyone elses... i just live the best life i can and try to get through it like everyone else... anyway please help... any info on what the hell to do would be great... thanks...
