I'm doing what most Lit. instructors detest and I'm asking for answers regarding authors who are still living or have been dead for less than 30 years.


Mine: I really enjoy Stephen and Tabitha King. I've been reading S. King since I was child and I'd sneak his books off my mother's dresser - read little bits at a time. I've noticed that as an adult when I think of his books or hear his name, it is much like hearing something of an old friend.

T. King is a beautiful writer and I wish she would get the publicity she deserves.

I also love Alice Sebold. She is the kind of writer I hope to become.

i've been married for almost a year and we have a baby, alot of times i dont have time for sex or am to tiared, so my husband jacks it, is it normal for a man to every ime he gets horney to do that, every time i mean it if i dont want it he does it, i think its nasty as much as he does it?

I have the choice of getting a LL 1 yr 105 amp alternator, or a lifetime alternator for my 92 Cavalier 3.1 MP. The price difference is significant ( like $30). Can anyone tell me with the cheaper one if they go out after about a yr or so? Depending on the feedback I get to this question, I will determine which one to get. I am a tightwad.

i recently enrolled in an international sch and there are a lot of american guys around. i'm chinese(from hong kong) and i find tt they are a lot of vocal, open, friendly and maybe laid-back than asian guys..and recently there are a few no. of guys who seem to be trying to get my attention....some in a group w friends...some alone. and i dont really know how to react...i just try to be friendly and everyth but i'm not sure if they are trying to be friendly or they have an interest in me? how can u tell? cos for chinese guys, the only time they pay attention to you is when they like you. and recently this friendly guy i was hanging out w told me he liked me but i dont like him back!! so now i'm like paranoid and everyth i dont know how to react when white guys get friendly with me. are they hitting on me? or what? i cant tell!!! help!!!

Many will say proof is in reading the bible. I've read Winnie the Pooh but that doesn't prove there is a 100 Acres Woods. Other's will tell me the mear fact that I am here on earth or that I have children is proof that God exist and yet we know how life is procreated. Prayer and god were not present at conception or delivery. If in the beginning there was Adam and Eve, where are the dinasuars (which we can prove existed).
We know what causes disease and yet we often say that God wanted that person to "come home". Why does it have to be so painful? How can we say that a child was sexually abused and murdered 'cause God needed them in heavin?
Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?
We base our belief on what was written and re-written over the centuries and indoctrinate our children, like skinheads teach their children predjudice and other countries teach their children to hate Americans.

My twin brother is gay, it has never been an issue, for our family until now.
My fiancee and I travelled to my grandparents home for the Thanksgiving Holiday week. we were met at the airport by my brother and his boy friend. Everything was ok during the ride home, when we got there, my BF and I were settling into our room, when he asked me if my brother was gay, I said yes, my BF asked for his engagement ring back, and called a cab for the airport. He said he could not marry a girl whose family condoned such behavior, He would not put his future children at risk.
Im devistated. I didn't think my brothers sexuality was such an issue!
what should I do?

For some reason lately, my remote starter/door lock will stop working for a few hours, then suddenly start working again. I changed the battery in the actual remote, that has not helped. I'm not sure why it would work, then stop working for hours, then suddenly start working again fine. What do you think it could be? Thanks!
