I was number 2 in my department for a few years, and I assumed that I would grow into a more secure or advanced spot. This changed the day they hired a new person for the department. He became the new number 1, and I was silently relegated to handling spill over work and odds and ends jobs around the department. No one has ever said "you're demoted." That language has never been applied to the situation. But it is very clear this is the net result of the changes in the department.

I have been soldiering on, unhappy, but hanging in. But the other day, number 2 went behind my back and arranged for me to get stuck with a dirty job no one wanted to do. I felt the hurt of this arrangement all over again.

Has anyone reading this been in such a spot? Any inspiring words or insight into how you handled the damage to personal morale that this can cause? I want to leave, but the pay is very hard to walk away from. And good positions in this field are not very easily obtainable.

Thoughts?

This isn't a question, so I'm not too worried about answers. However, I've seen a lot of arguements about evolution on here, and I thought people may be interested in reading the following article:

If this trend continues, America will find itself controlled by extreme religious conservatives. This will lead to America's downfall. It will be like when all science was herasy!! I just hope that Americans who aren't blinded by religious pseudo-science will act to make sure science stays as science, and religious beliefs stay in the philosophy classroom, and not be taught as 'scientific fact'.

Everyone is entitled to their beliefs, but please let's keep the distinction between science and religion clear.

no help when asked in my earlier question. so i asked again.

help me this boy is my younger brother's best friend. he is 18 and hes such a pain in the ***.. rite now he in the living room waiting for my brother to come back. i can't stay glued to the room all day but i know my bro is coming back in few HRS time.. how do i get rid of him .. i did not allow him to enter earlier but he insisted.. and heck he did a major confession about liking me and ask me for a date before and now he is bugging me the same thing no way i would date him he is like 7 years younger than me and like a little kid..im worried he mite do something. coz im alone rite now..

give me an idea how to get rid of him asap..

well i go to college at home here and when HE comes home he loves to go out and see his friends that he misses. well the problem is that i myself am no where near the party person he is and i love just spending time with him. he hates sitting at home (which is where we always hang out if we do) what can i do to be ok with this or what should we do??? ----i really need help

I was wondering what this could be from ...Im not sure Im late on my period because it has been flucuating from month to month due to different reasons. Im sure as all of you ladies know a lot of things can effect when our period of the month decides to come around. Well anyway Im thinking I might be a couple of days late but I was wondering if there were any reasons as to why my breast feels a tid swollen and sore. Not both just one and on one side. Ive heard women describe the senstivity when they become pregnant and Im not sure that this could be the case with whats going on? Think its just horomones raging through me as I am due soon to have my period?

Why does my color only matter in election times? Being a Democrat I have found my acceptance is not my color, but "what we can do" as compared to the Republican over tone "what can you provide"? An inter racial marriage and bipartisan home has taught me greatly, what I can expect. Questions of why in the rebuplican camps of Y.A. show racial overtones at me from stupid to your a racist. Hi, when my PC (only 1yr old) starting ticking and freezing, then wouldn't start to XP at all, PC World replaced my hard-drive (stepdad builds his own PCs and put it in for me), re-installed XP, programs etc. Now I have no sound. I've been to device manager all the troubleshoots etc. and I have deduced that I have NO audio device at all apparently. Would it come in the hard drive / on the recovery XP disk or do I have to 'get one' seperately. I don't know much about this. Drivers aren't the problem I don't think, there is nothing to 'drive' so to speak. Can I download what I'm missing? Stepdads out! Hence me asking - has anybody any idea what I'm trying to describe? And how to fix it?
Also system restore just goes to 'not responding' anything to do with system does the same. Do I need to take this XP off and install it again fresh? Or is there something wrong with this hard drive aswell? I get re-boot messages on start up sometimes - any ideas? It's not viruses.. as NOD32 is on there

I divorced my ex-husband about 3 yrs ago. We divorced thinking that we would get back together. Since then, we have remained in contact. He lives 3000 miles away. He has custody of my 14 yr old daughter.
My daughter came to visit me this summer and I promised her I would come back. My ex needs help with her on a daily basis. I did not go back as planned, but am not able to focus on my life here.
I feel depressed because I let my ex and daughter down. I did not go back because I saw his controlling and abusive behavior continuing. He is also very money-minded and I thought that this would continue also.

Now, I am constantly in two minds what to do. I have thought of going and living separately in the same state that they live, but he will not let me do that also. He will say you are wasting money, come stay with me, etc.

Now, based on reading my past e-mails, he says that I am selfish and its all about me and me and me.

I have been with my boyfriend for almost 3 years now, and I feel like his sucking out my energy lately. We keep on breaking up all the time I am so sick of this I need more from my relationship , his head is someplace else alot with his so called friend that's dragging him down and his prevoius relationship where they hate my guts just because I exist and because they want him back he has a son his a little boy . Have been using "bazuka gel" but progress is excruiatingly slow.

I know that the duct tape trick thing works, but the stuff that I have found in the UK just will not stick to the soles of my feet! I've also tried electrical tape and Scholl plasters but nothing stays put.

What can I use? Verruccae can be very frustrating!

i bort a white fish with really dark eyes (black/dark blue) im not sure of sex and breed.

it started out fine but then as the months past i noticed a black thing inside of him/her!

it seems to hav got larger as time has past what do you think it is, maybe sum king of infection

I really had to try my hardest to not buy an Xbox 360, and wait for the PS3 (whose release is in 8 days). But I really believe once word gets out, that the PS3 will be on a different level. I think the built in Blu-Ray feature is enough to sell me on it. What are your opinions. And for you that are XBox loyal, what's your argument for Xbox 360. Price is not a factor when camparing here, just performance.
