Ok, that's tough and I was in that situation many times during my career.
I admit working over 40 years, that I have never, I repeat never seen a situation like that get better. Unfortunately, most of the time it gets worse...much worse...as you are beginning to see.
The only thing you can do is change.....youself.
Now, you have a right to be happy....and if not in this job...look at the job as temporary...only a stepping stone to something else...hey the senate and congress do it all the time...and this time....the republicans are out...and they must look for a job.
1. Tell yourself...that you can have hobbies, read books, travel...and talk to a counselor...or a priest,or a rabbi, or a minister of any place you choose...and ask them, yes ask them for help.
2. Make it a habit...of smiling everytime you pass a mirror...and that works...on you because you know that you are a good person....regardless of how I, or any other person on this earth treats you.
3. Get to the library and take out a good book.......on anything you want...ok if you want stuff on your character, careerfield or stuff that's ok, but I really mean using your creativity.
4. You are not stuck.
5. You can look for jobs in your county, state and federal government.....or you can look within your company....hey it doesn't cost anything to look.....but tell no one...got that...if they find out, they will treat you worse.
6. Now, this is tough...I want you to volunteer somewhere....at the hospital, soup kitchen or anywhere to help others....yes, and then you know that you will be growing inside...and these people need your help.
7. Now I want you to talk to your family, friends and others...ok small talk at first....and see how they are doing....I'm trying to take the focus off of you.
8. Hey, do you have your health,....and I shall share that I am losing some of my closest friends...one with heart problems and the other with lung cancer......yes...losing them
9. Hey, start a walking program....5 minutes more every day...so park farthest in every parking lot, grocery store...work, mall and such.
10. Most of all, know that you are not alone....many of us have faced the same thing.
....In my case, I had to hire a lawyer $400/hour and take $20,000 out of my retirement....yes I had to pay taxes on that.....and file in Federal court...and the lovely judge.....took pity on me but said she cannot send me back...although I was the most qualified person she ever saw....because she said THEY WOULD RUIN MY LIFE, AND THEN I WOULD BE BACK IN A YEAR, AND WOULD BE OUT ANOTHER $20,000 after they made my life miserable......
.....so she retired me at 50.......I hated it at first and had to refinance my mortgage to a lower rate...Thank GOD I did that....and I have limitations in that if I go back to work, I can never get this retirement package again......
So I discovered I am a real person,and can manage...without that job.
Keep saying...Thank YOU GOD FOR EVERYTHING.

The way i see it if you haven't drop in pay and your doing a lesser job then why worry. I work as a butcher and a driver and i get to clean the shop and clean the barn because no one else there will do it. They all think they are better then doing that. The way i see it is that I'm making the same amount of money to clean these things as if i was driving the truck. I make 14.50 an hour so if i have to clean then hey I'm making awesome pay for cleaning. I just think of it as the money and not the job I'm doing. What other job can you do as far as cleaning and making that kind of money? I say keep your head up high and think that they are paying you more then what the job at hand requires.

He is often charged with a category A misdemeanor, riding even as intoxicated. The undeniable fact that they not ever learn him his rights method not anything. They handiest ought to learn him his rights if he's in custody and being wondered. The breathalyzer outcome have been received with out wondering him (implied consent), implied consent included the blood pattern too (no unlawful seek or seizure). The case towards him is a prosecutor's dream ... conviction just about a walk in the park! What will have to he be doing now? Hiring a legal professional that focuses on DUI/DWI defenses. Get a bus agenda, a brand new pair of mountain climbing boots and the mobilephone quantity for cab offerings in his town, he's often going to lose his driving force's license in court docket. None of the proof might be excluded, plea bargaining a DWI cost is just about not possible in so much places. Your pal is in an overly dangerous role ... in case your pal is going into court docket and not using a legal professional, they're proving them self to be a idiot!

someone said to me recently " it's not about the money". well in reality yes it is, so i understand your reservations over leaving because of the pay.
sounds like they have hired someone that is very good at manipulating the system. i have ran into this recently myself. they talk to you like they really admire you, and on the other hand they are telling whoever your supervisor is , something else. don't worry, these people have a way of weeding themselves out. i, myself thought what the heck and put the feelers out and shipped resume off to different companies in the same industry and have received some great offers. so good luck and make wise choices.

Well that is corporate America, yeah it happened to me, I was eventually 'banished' to a satelite office, where I worked off my *** again, only to have it happen again in a reorganization. In fact I was told flat out (confidentually) that the reason I was not promoted was because of diversity goals for that position. I suspect that was the reason the first time also combined with nepotism. Well, I have decided to just work till retirement, not necessarily work for promotion. Nepotism, kiss asses, plagerism and diversity goals, that is corporate America these days. Maybe it was always that way. I am not changing jobs, have too much time in this one, too close to retirement.

Your pay is good but your ego is bruised. I can uderstand that. The grass is not always greener on the other side. You will not be any happier any where else. It's all the same. You already know the answer to this one. Good Luck.
