before i start serious answers please

i bort a white fish with really dark eyes (black/dark blue) im not sure of sex and breed.

it started out fine but then as the months past i noticed a black thing inside of him/her!

it seems to hav got larger as time has past what do you think it is, maybe sum king of infection

please help!

If the fish is see thru it could well be the fishes intestines and nothing to worry about. If its a female and pregnant it could be what they call a gravid spot...where the eyes of the fry show through the thin scales. If its this it will be roughtly triangular in shape. The links below might help identify the fishes species and if its a gravid spot. Other than that I guess its a case of wait and see.

There are several species of fish that do loose there pigment as they get oldier hence the see through look. If you could find out the kind of fish you have it would make it easier to give you the right answer. But it sounds like your fish has some type of pararesite attached to it. I have several species of fish that have lost there pigment over the past several years and there almost transparent.

Could be a ghost fish check out the net to see if you can find out there,there's lots of remedies you can put in your tank but you need to find exact cause first.There must be a tropical fish shop in your area where you can get advice ask around.Go to your local library and find out which species it is.

Go to a local pet store bring your fish and they might say a baby is growing in your fish if it's a girl if it's a boy it might have a infection.

Hi,it would help if I knew what type of fish it is however to be on the safe side you can buy eSHA2000 its brilliant & safe.Its for finrot.fungus & bacteria treatment it also kills any parasites that might me in tank theres also eSha optima that helps to keep fish healthy.There might be nothing wrong with your fish however better safe than sorry.Goodluck

could be some sort of nematode parasite(s), they can grow to be as big and bigger than the mass of the fish alone
