The scariest thing that ever happened to me was when I was little, about 5, me and my family were at this train station, and it was really busy, like trrain stations usually are. Anyway, there were all these police like swarming around and this guy all in black with a hood grabbed my hand and started pulling me away, but my Dad noticed and started pulling me back. He raised the alarm and all the police jumped on this guy. It turned out he was a serious pedophile and had raped a young girl earlier that day. Although at that age I didn't know what rape was, it scared the sh*t out of me and it stil does

Homosexuality is considered genarally admissible (al teast by the liberal western world)

Incest (I am talking about one between two consenting adults who are related) is considered illegal.

Please don't read this as anything to do with my personal life. I am a straight man who is skeptical whether either of them are genetic traits.

I find homosexuality acceptable, but consider incest as disgusting.

Is there really any difference? Of course, having inbred children is not good for the society, but taking that fact out, are the two very different? Should we treat them completely differently and have completely different laws?

It isn't all our personal feeling and opinons (of disgust and acceptance of a certain practice) just influenced by society, specifically by certain individuals who can create that influence?

I am sure this is going to touch a lot of nerves!

Ex dumped me a month ago. She is currently going through therapy cause her dad died 4 months ago and she has very low self esteem. When she broke up with me she asked me not to hate her and that the timing of everything sucked because of her cause she tought we had really good potential. She said she wanted to be friends. And I want to be friends with her because I do care about her well being and hope she is okay, but at the same time I know I need to keep some distance so that I can have time to get over her and act as a true friend to her, you know so I don have any hidden intentions. So how often should I contact her? She sent me an email today asking me how I am and sawying that she hopes things are well for me. She then said to drop her a line whenever? So I did not reply immediately to the email cause I think that may look like I am not getting over her, but maybe I'll email her next week? Good idea, and how much space should I give her? Thanks!

Ok, So I havent been to the doctors yet because my apt. isnt til the 13th. but I did however take an at home preg. test and it said that I wasnt. I am now 28 years old and scared to death that I will end up like them. Am I destined to die at an early age because they did? Are my chances really that much more of developing one or both of those diseases? I want to start a family and am scared I will not live long enough to raise my own children. I don't want them to be parentless at 19 like I was. My sister was only 14 by the time both died. Also, is there a good chance that I would pass them on to my children?
