Fellow Catholics?
If you are catholics, especaially Italian, Spanish, Mexican Catholic. What are those scarves(usually very ornate) that older Catholic women used to wear to cover their head to church called? I know my older relatives wore them (Mexican), and I've also seen older Italian women wear them. I'm sure other Catholic nationalities wore them too, I'm just not aware of them. Why did they wear them? why have they stopped? I think the scarves are lovely.

The basement flooded back in late July and yes I lost all of my stuff but besides that the furnace is down there and these spiraly looking fungi are growing down there and with the furnace running and all the intake of air from the basement to the inside of the house I am worried, the lanlord is slacking and is well aware there is a wall that is crumbling down there also and everytime it rain water runs in from the outside to the inside from behind the furnace and puddles about 2 feet sometimes at the end of the basement stairs which are in the attached garage I am worried about this and dont know what this is I have small children and I am concerned. Now I also have a Gnat of some kind in my home that is not being caused from fruit they dont go away can someone help............

I am a major animal lover so when I discovered a rat in my house I decided to use a humane trap to get him out. I was planning on releasing him once I caught him. Anyway after about a week I still hadnt caught him. So then each week we tried a different trap while leaving the remainders up ( including glue and snap traps,) but to no avail. we cant catch him. He lives behind my stove and apparantly is too smart for my traps. What should I do? Will calling an exterminator really work?

I recently found a box of visibly old ammunition. Around 600 rounds, here in the Philippines while remodelling an old church.

The rounds appear to be pistol rounds, have a slight taper on them and are ball rounds. I checked the shells for caliber, but found 43, 44, or 45 stamped on the bottom with no manufacturer information. All the rounds are identical in dimensions however, despite the different markings on their shells.

I have researched the internet for any information regarding these rounds but my search turned up nothing. I suspect that the numbers stamped on the shells are their years of manufacture. If so, then they would quite obviously be WW2 vintage. However, these rounds do not look like any of the cartridges I've seen on the more popular WW2 personal weapons.
