I have been thinking about getting a bird, that I can teach to talk. I've wanted one for a long time but I've never had a bird before. What all is involved? Cost? How much time should you spend with the bird? Any personal experiences are fine. Just need some insight, I know it's not something you just go out and buy.

Why is it that our husbands who are trained to pay attention to everything going on around them can't pay attention to what is going on around them at home? My husband has completely gone MIA when it comes to things at home, including our 9 month old, leaving me to be 99% responsible to take care of things around the house. Whenever I confront him he says that he will start helping more, and that last for about a day, and then is it right back to the way things were. We have lived in our house for 2 years, and he still looks for things like we just moved in yesterday and when he does find them, can't be bothered to pick up after himself. Any suggestions, please?

I say yes. You say one thing they don't agree with and you are automatically a bigot. I've seen even innocent people come here just to talk and get treated like rubbish. Even worse than muslims.

I have asked this question to many Irish and they get angry on me but yet could not give me a good answer. They have no strong reason to support English teams. Instead, they should incentivate and support their own local teams.

Hi everyone. This is a quick follow up on placing fertilizer down in the Autumn months.

I was glad to see everyone in agreement on this issue, and I believe your experinece trumps my lack of knowledge.

However, with your kind patience, may I pose my question like this:

Two equal Columbines ('Colorado Gold', as I recall, and I can't wait to see this one in bloosom) are planted in the ground.

The soils differ in this manner only:

One ground was given nutrients via fertilizer.

The other soil contained all the nutrients the fertilizer would give, but it was naturally pre-existing.

Wouldn't both Columbines, having the same nutirents, equally chance to form Autumnal leaves (or even buds) which would die off in the first freeze?

Wouldn't both Columbine roots, having the same nutirents, both suffer the same opportunity for better root formation?

When I follow this logic (my own), am I still a dumbdumb?

isn't it that they just cannot accept that humans are just higher animals and that we and apes have a common ancestor?

Personally, I find both of those notions more comforting than the idea that we are separate and distinct from our nature and environment.

Well a family member of mine is having a long distance relationship and she travelled over to see her partner who she only got with 4 months previously while on holiday...

When I spoke to her over there she told me that she found a dirty txt on his phone not to her sent only the day before - when she confronted him he told her flat out that he sent it to this other girl and also told her that its not all he did - he said that he had phone sex with this girl because he was upset that they had a disagreement..

I told her he wasnt worth it..if he can do that while u are in the country what do u think he is capable of doing when you are away..

Well they are still together and he told her he wants to travel..she said she loves him but if it was someone else she would tell them to leave the person immediately

Is she seeing something i'm not??

Is it true that in muslim countries, churches aren't allowed to be built for the christian communities and if not, why not? If true I think it's a bit unfair especially when Britian, being a predominantly christian country, has to put up with mosques being erected everywhere. If that's wrong then I will back down gracefully!
