First, please no wise cracks.
I'm in a long-term, serious relationship with a woman who lives in Mexico. Though she thinks she may be more comfortable if we live together there before being engaged, I want to also look at the possibility of us living here in the U.S. Though living with her in Mexico and commuting to San Diego is possible, it would be more difficult than living together in the San Diego area. I know about the fiance visa, but many couples in the U.S. choose to live together first before becoming engaged, which we want to do. Is there a way, a type of visa, that will give her the opportunity to live with me in the U.S., and even better, work here at the same time?
She has a tourist visa that lets her come and go a few times each month, but I'm looking for one that would let her stay here up to six months and give her the opportunity to also go back when she wants to visit her family.
