If you are happy with the wireless have you sorted out the Gateway and DNS adresses in your network settings?

We also need to consider HOW the ROUTER is being configured... some ISP requires us (users) to set our modem/s to BRIDGE MODE and enable PPPoE in the ROUTER... you may be getting the Wireless signal transmitted form your router BUT the router is not connected yet to the INTERNET.. or you maybe getting somebody else's NETWORK..

Please contact your ROUTER MANUFACTURER so you can be guided in the troubleshooting steps..

You need to ensure that the router is configured to link to the Internet Service Provider through the DSL, broadband etc. You should have received some information from your phone/internet company like DNS numbers, password, user ID. Connect to the router from the PC using the IP address (usually something like 192.168.0.1) and put in the details and then configure. Of course don't forget to check that the cables are plugged in.

If this doesn't work, speak with your phone/internet company or google the router name and follow their instructions.

I had similar problems, I rang 08456007030 the BT helpline and a young lady from Calcutta took over my laptop completely and sorted it. Great result. Regards Richard R.
