Stop hiring them and stiffly penalize those who do hire Illegal Immigrants, they come here for jobs and if they can't get them at ALL then there is NO reason for them to come here illegally. They will just have to do it the legal way if they want to work. If we simply grant them all amnesty we defeat the purpose of the immigration laws entirely. EVERYONE from every where else has to come here legally they should not receive special treatment because they cry that it's unfair. If they want to be treated equally then they should become equals and come here in a legal fashion.
Above ) I see your argument , but there isn't a hell of a lot that is fair in this world. There is NO such thing as equality and there NEVER will be and you wouldn't want there to be. They come here to make a better life for themselves , again BETTER . This country would be NO better than any 3rd world country if it didn't make rules protecting itself.
We do give them breaks and that IS the problem. We should not , we have NO reason to. Besides you are not Illegal. If they come here legally cool. But when they break laws that is wrong.

Lets face it Mexico's government is a joke and as corrupt as the eye can see. That's why so many people come a cross our border everyday. There's no hope in their country. I say until Bush steps up his game and lay down the law nothings going to be done. You honestly think a fence is going to stop someone? Yeah right!

The best solution would be to enact a 5 year prison term with NO parole, along with a $250,000 fine per illegal alien hired for employers who hire illegal aliens... (first offense, second offense... much harsher)... that would eliminate the stolen jobs and wage destruction, and be an incentive for employers to obey the law.... there is no excuse for hiring illegal aliens.... they can check their status.... it can be done... despite false papers...
Next, to keep the illegal aliens(and terrorists) from entering, militarize the border... give the troops orders to do what ever is necessary to stop the illegal alien invasion.... lethal force if that is what it takes....
Third, enact a death sentence for illegal aliens that have been deported if they re-enter the USA ILLEGALLY....
Fourth, ENFORCE our LAWS... Congress must stop aiding abetting the ongoing criminal enterprise of illegal aliens.... supporting the illegal aliens in any manner is treason or damn close to it....
Fifth, if nothing else works(this shouldn't be necessary, but IF), the USA should militarily REMOVE the corrupt government of Mexico...
I want all illegal aliens and their children deported..... I only mention Mexico because Mexico is the largest contributor to the ILLEGAL ALIEN INVASION and the resultant destruction of our country. Mexico has the most dangerous agenda behind its pushing its slaves into the USA.
Tuppence: if you are in Mexico illegally, you are not legitimate... you are a criminal in the eyes of Mexico.... you could face 2 years in prison and a stiff fine... Mexico treats illegal aliens very harshly... as you will find out if you end up in their prisons....

Adopting Mexicos own laws would be good.
Here is how Mexico deals with illegal immigrants.
Quote from cited article...
Under Mexican law, illegal immigration is a felony. The General Law on Population says:
_ "A penalty of up to two years in prison and a fine of 300 to 5,000 pesos will be imposed on the foreigner who enters the country illegally." (Article 123)
_ Foreigners with immigration problems may be deported, rather than imprisoned. (Article 125)
_ Foreigners who "(make attempts) against national sovereignty or security" will be deported. (Article 126)
Mexicans who help illegal aliens enter the country are considered criminals:
_ A Mexican who marries a foreigner with the sole objective of helping the foreigner live in the country is subject to up to five years in prison. (Article 127)
_ Shipping and airline companies that bring undocumented foreigners into Mexico will be fined. (Article 132)
All of the above runs counter to what Mexican leaders are demanding of the United States. The stark contrast between Mexico's immigration practices and its American-immigration preachings reveals the Mexican government's agenda: to have a one-way immigration relationship with the United States.
Let's call Mexico's bluff on its interference in U.S. immigration policy. Let us propose, just to make a point, that North American Free Trade Agreement member nations standardize their immigration laws by using Mexico's law as a model.

Economic development in Mexico is the best solution. They have a huge oil resource, but unfortunately decades, even centuries, of currupt government. The poverty in Mexico drives any responsible parent to come to the US for a better life.

How about this guys & girls..I'm from New Zealand & currently illegal in Mexico.
I'm not a criminal. I'm not hiding from the law. I just legitimately came here to work.
I'm educated, I have a skill to offer & that's in demand, but it's just as hard to stay in Mexico, Russia/Siberia and any other country, no matter how legit you are.
Give the Mexicans a break! They're not the only ones trying to leave home & make a life for themselves.
And..if your home country is such a paradise, why be so defensive!
By the way, where did your family come from originally?
Have you ever tried to change country? No? Then, shhhhhhh!

BY enforcing the laws that are on the books and get everybody that hires an Illegal and to stop the free benefits to the Illegals and to let them know that there is hell to pay for entering illegally into the United States. Have them pay for their airplane tickets or to pay off their fines by doing free work for the state in the fields (labor) they wanted to work let them work to pay off their debt.

Pay attention to the reason so many of them leave home: the collapse of farming in Mexico due to American farm subsidies. Cheap corn and rice and cotton make it impossible for native farmers to compete, and NAFTA -- far from sucking American jobs to Mexico (they were sucked over to China) -- forces Mexico to allow duty-free entry of American crops.
So farmworkers there are without jobs, and they head north.
Just as African farmers, unable to sell cotton at the low subsidized American price, head for Europe.
And your tax dollars pay those subsidies not to family farmers but to huge agribusiness corporations.
