The French law prohibits Muslims, Christians, and Jews from wearing headscarves, large crosses, or skullcaps. So, on the surface, it seems as if it is not discriminatory among followers of various religions. President Jacques Chirac said that this law is “meant to protect the country’s strictly secular state from the perceived threat of Islamic fundamentalism.” The headscarf is not a sign of Islamic fundamentalism. Throughout the Muslim world, average Muslim women cover their heads in obedience to religious instructions. Do you agree that this law is discriminatory against Muslims only—and Muslims women in particular—since Christians are not required by their faith to wear crosses, nor are Jews required to wear the Star of David. To say the ban includes these Christian and Jewish symbols, too, is misleading.

With our shoot first and attack before they think about attacking us policy in the U.S. wouldn't it be more appropriate to use the phrase " Pog Ma Thoin" or pog ma hone?

Serial killers. Mass murders. Insane Cults. School shootings. Child predators.
Corrupt governments. Unstoppable plagues. Murder suicides. Sex crimes. Gang violence.
Thrill kills. Terrorist acts. Postal rampages. Suicide bombers.
The world is out of control.
There's no way to reverse what's happened to society.
People are not just numb to violence anymore, we crave it.
It's forced into our lives in every possible way.
People look for answers to what's gone wrong with society,
blaming music, movies, video games, anything and everything to try to
explain away the obvious: We're armed, pissed, and horny for evil.
We're all thrown into this life without a choice.
I never asked for this life, yet those that have control over
our lives force their beliefs down our throat via the TV,
radio, news papers, and now even the world wide web.
They will tell you everything you want to hear, except the truth.

Tragic love - the kind in movies, the kind where you have to overcome near impossible odds - like familial differences, maybe cross oceans to be together.

Simple love - the kind where you meet and fall in love - very low drama.

I already have 2 years complete from a community college, so all i need is two more years to get B.S.
However, because i work full time and i don't have time to go to a campus anymore I am considering univ. of phoenix online. Gonna cost me about $25k for two years, but that's the way to go it seems if you want a job that pays $60k/year.
Does anyone know about this school, is it good or not? What do you think? Please give me your opinion/advice.
thank you!

Two men were having a drink after work.

They both ordered the same drink.(Whiskey on the rocks)

Guy number one drank his quickly, while guy number two sipped his throughout the conversation.

After a while, guy number two fell off the barstool and died. His drink had poison in it!!!! How is it, that guy number one didn't get poisoned, but guy number two did...if they both ordered the same drink.

Can you figure it out???

Me and my boyrfriend just had a stupid argument. It wasn't about anything important, so i won't get into details, but the way he acts still really annoys me! He phoned me to apologise and I tried to explain how I felt but it's hard to put into words because right now I just don't really like him! The way talks just really annoys me. I know i'm just being bitter and horrible but I can't help the way i feel. Should I dump him or what? He hasn't really done anything wrong but I feel so much resentment towards him right now.

I've been looking at research into portions of the human genome that is made up of 'fossilised' viruses called endogenous viruses. These viruses existed a long time ago but managed to work their way into our ancestors' genes before mutating into a basically broken and non-infectious form. The recent research I was reading pertained to their actual positive actions during pregnancy, these ineffective viruses are thought to help the placenta and immune system develop.

How do young earth creationists take this information? I'm not so much disputing the fact that it could take millions of years (well over 6000) for such for such retroviruses to be taken into our genes, I'm more interested in the opinion of whether it was God's intention for us to have the remnants of old viruses in our genes.
