Yes, the First Amendment forbids a state religion, so no religion's deity should be on our money or in the Pledge of Allegiance. Our first money had "E Plurubus Unum". George Washington, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson did not want God's name mentioned so indiscriminately as it has been since Eisenhower's administration.

Of course not!! This country was founded on Judeo-Cristian principals. The constitution protects our right to proclaim our faith in anyway we want as long as it is not hurting anyone else. The words "In God We Trust" should not offend anyone not even those who do not believe in God because no one is forcing anyone there to believe in God. Some people do not believe and yet they feel a little comforted that maybe by honoring God (just in case He does exist), he may protect or bless us. This country is supposed to be a democracy where the MAJORITY RULES!. Lately it seems that we have been getting it backwards. The people who do believe in God by far WAY outnumber the ones who do not.believe in God in this country. So where do those in the MINORITY get off insisting that the MAJORITY move over to please only themselves. That is definitely not democratic!!!

Only part of the US has a shoot first policy, another part still uses "In God We Trust" as a modus operandi. Also, this isn't a religious slogan, as you imply in your question, since God isn't a religion. Anyway, could/would you give it a rest? Why pour fuel into the inflamed minds of idiots?

Americans should in the first place start to tune international TV, just listen for some time and see what's going on, from the other side's point of view. Good luck, my friends!

Not replace it just add to it. What about "Allah bess America"? I'm a saint and I can't say that one, but it could still appear in some public places.

I am tired of all this politically correct stuff. That phrase has been on US currency since the beginning. It is tradition.
Why do we always have to change things to be "politically correct"
