j.k. rowling says that it could be a possibility since it would prevent other writers from resurrecting the harry potter franchise and making a joke out of it but i truly hope that he survives!!!

Originally, JK Rawlings said that she was getting tired of writting the books and that 7 would be the last one. She mentioned that 2 of the main characters would die. Recently she got a letter from Stephen King telling her that he was a fan of the series and that could she please not kill off Harry. To my knowledge she still hasn't decided because she carries the manuscript with her everywhere and has changed the ending a few times already. But I really hope she dosen't.
I started reading the series a few months ago because I wanted to know what the hype was about. Wow!!! I'm now addicted. I've read the other 6, read them aloud to my daughter and can hardly wait for July 7, 2007 when the next book is supposed to be released.

First JK was worried about another author trying to continue story after she stops writing. that right there hints at a Potter death. Next other authors ask her not to another nail in Harry's coffin. Honestly look back over first six books and films thus far. Its about destroying the Horcruxs so that Voldemort will die! Its very clear the last Horcrux will be Harry's scar! In order to destroy Voldemort Harry will sacrifice himself to save everyone else. This will be a happy moment for Harry even though he will die. If you have read all the books and even in films made thus far Harry longs to be with his parents and misses them very much. When he dies he will reunite with his parents and thus make it a Happy ending even though he dies.

There has been some talk and speculation, as to what is going to happen!! I hope that Hermini, Harry and simpleton Ron survive, and its Malfoy that gets it in the end!!

Only J.K. Rowling would know the answer to that, and she isn't spilling nothing! LOL. I do not think so, I think Neville and Voldemort will die.

I hope not! That would completely take away all the magic of this awesome series! If he dies, what good has it been reading about him growing up and learning so much!

I dont think he will even though dumblore was a powerfull wizard and he died but I think potter is suppopse to be more powerfull so I would be suprised if he dies

maybe, j.k. rowling keeps going back and forth on who she is going to kill. there's going to be atleast two deaths....she has a bunch of different endings in mind and no one knows which one she'll choose!

ok first of all he is the MAIN CHARCTER so i think he should die or ron,hermine,malfoy,hargid,snape,or voldermort
