What is more rewarding - Tragic love or simple love?

Tragic love - the kind in movies, the kind where you have to overcome near impossible odds - like familial differences, maybe cross oceans to be together.

Simple love - the kind where you meet and fall in love - very low drama.

There is beauty in simplicity.

Socrates wrote "The hottest love has the coldest end".

Alfred Lord Tennyson wrote "'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all". That is so untrue. The pain of lost love is sometimes so difficult to handle that some take their own lives (or their ex-partner's life).

My favorite quote is from Otomo No Yakamochi. "Better never to have met you in my dream than to wake and reach for hands that are not there."

tragic love is better...you can beat the odds if you love the person enough. I live in the US and my girl is in Ireland..we are making it work as best as we can, need be id move there...so in essence its not tragic...love is simple, you fight for it or you dont.

tragic love...it is rewarding. But difficult. But If you truely love that person, and they truley love you...nothing can go wrong.
