Two men were having a drink after work.

They both ordered the same drink.(Whiskey on the rocks)

Guy number one drank his quickly, while guy number two sipped his throughout the conversation.

After a while, guy number two fell off the barstool and died. His drink had poison in it!!!! How is it, that guy number one didn't get poisoned, but guy number two did...if they both ordered the same drink.

Can you figure it out???

The story indicates they ordered the same drink but it doesn't SAY both drinks were poisoned. #1 didn't get poisoned coz his drink wasn't poisoned. One may object that the validity of this answer turns on an overly literal reading of the account, thus side-stepping the fact that as both ordered the SAME drink, BOTH were, ostensibly at least, poisoned. In consideration of this objection, the poison was in the ice cubes (on the rocks). #1 gulped his whiskey before the ice had a chance to melt and thus dispense its poison into the drink. #2, however, sipped his drink, which allowed enough time for the ice to melt and thus poison his drink.

Guy #2 was an alcoholic. He already had enough poison (alcohol is poison) in his body and that last drink he had was enough to send him over the edge.

Maybe it was only poison to Guy2 because he was allegic to it, or he had cough syrup before hand, you shouldn't mix medications with alcohol......
