A polish guy decides that he'll go skydiving. He gets an instructor to teach him... and they go up in the plane. The instructor tells the polish guy that when the polish guy jumps out, the instructor will follow in about 5 seconds to make sure everything is alright. The polish guy jumps out and pulls his chord. The parachute deploys. the instructor jumps out 5 seconds later... he pulls his chord... nothing happens. He keeps his cool and pulls his emergency chord... nothing happens. He starts to freak out now... he zooms past the polish guy. The polish guy looks up at the plane........ then looks down at the falling instructor... he says "So you want to race then?" while pulling off his parachute.

So my girlfriend and me go to different schools and she works and I have an internship so we get to see each other about once a week. She is approached by guys often and is "tempted", but she has a guy "friend" who likes her and she likes but she loves me so he respects that and is a "friend". Lately everything he tells her she seems to like to hear so she follows him without question, and he told her that I need to step up and confront her parents about letting me come over, so she believes everything he says and orders me to talk to her parents. What do you guys make of this situation?

I sware..I burn it everytime. I can stand there and have hubby tell me what buttons to push on the microwave and I burn it everytime. He does the exact same thing he tells me and it comes out perfect...Am I cursed? Did I upset the corn god in my past life? Does anyone else have this experience.

Ex-wife has been “Baker Acted” (where police, judge or physiatrist find a person harmful to themselves or others and hospitalizes them until they are rational) and thus lost custody of the wonderful older children (16,14 & 9). I'm more concerned with the growing number of people that have been dupted into this lie that the Bible contradicts itself and has been "proven false." Nothing is farther from the truth. Not everything in the Bible has been proven, but a great deal has been proven. The Bible has NEVER been proven false. 100% of the contradictions I've ever been presented with have all turned out to have an explanation with even a very shallow bit of study.

You can't just read the Bible and expect to understand everything right away like a simple science book. You have to dig deeper. When you come accross something that appears to be a flaw. Recognize that something is out of place and study it a bit. You'll find that the fault was in your own understanding of the verses not in the book itself.

My husband is latino...typical romantic with good rhythm, but he picked up a rammstein cd at his construction job, and he has instantly become a head banger. I get the feeling that the german lyrics are probably negative....What do the lyrics say in English?
