When I was 17 (I'm 23 now), I accepted an assistant manager position at the clothing store I was working at. I didn't get along with my manager and he didn't train me properly but I was transfered to a different location and that manager and I worked really well together. She's no longer with the company and I have no idea where she is to ask her for a reference so I have no other choice but to use my first manager as one. I left the retail industry to work in the hotel industry but now I want to go back to retail because I miss it and don't really like what I'm doing now. I'm a lot more mature now, have more experience in leadership roles and know that I will make a good addition to the managment team, which is the postion I plan on applying for. I'm worried that I may get a bad reference because we didn't get along and he didn't get a chance to see how much I was able to progress in that position with proper training. What should I do?

Ok, here's the thing..me n this guy who now is my friend..well, i've been keeping in touch with him every once in a while for the past year..for some reason we just clicked like that..n a couple of weeks ago..i decided 2 write on his wall (the first time in a couple of months) just 2 say hi 2 him, hoping he was doing well. He responded not on my wall, but sent a message..with nuthing but his number on it..didn't say nuthing else..just had his number on it, which kind of made me freeze..i gave him mine a couple of days later, and about a week later he would text me..just a few times 2 say what's up n everything..but i make sure, and i'm guessing he's making sure that we don't talk everyday because that can make u grow tired of a person u kno..y do u think he gave me his number? could it be a possibility that he may like me? My best friend thinks i like him but i haven't really told her anything yet....

just curious. I'm just wondering, for those of you who had periods while you were pregnant, if your hcg dipped down at that time, but your baby ended up to be ok. Just wondering becaue I had a miscarriage, and my hormone levels went back down, but now I feel pregnant again, and although I could just be pregnant again, I'm not to talented with b/c it turns out. it's so early that I'm wondering if I was pregnant from before. They didn't do a pelvic after I had my bleeding, they did it once, then took my blood twice. It was really early in the pregnancy. I haven't taken a test since, and it'd be too early to test if I had just gotten pregnant again. I'm not looking for advice on that.


I want to know if anyone knows if the baby can be alive but not producing the hormone.

My oldest daughter is going to be 10 in December. She is growing up quick and I look at her and the lovely young woman she is becoming. Then today I was talking to her as she was getting out of the bathtub, and she told me she was scared...that something was really odd. She already wears training bras and she shaves her legs (I was not happy with the aunt that taught her this so young!) and now she tells me she's growing hair in odd places. Well, any woman knows what those odd places are (under her arms and her bikini area). I told her that this was normal and not to worry about it, her body is just changing so she can grow into a young woman. We've already had the period talk and all that, but I am scared to death! My daughter is growing up so fast, and wearing training bras and shaving and growing hair in womanly places!! I dont know how to do this! I am new to this...my mom barely even spoke to me, much less gave me these talks! Am I overprotective? Thats good though isnt it

I have to be the biggest loser in the world! Someone I really love and care about, has hurt me so bad. Now all I do is cry, feel sorry for myself, and depressed. I'm scared to love anyone eles and let them love me I won't even date. And the saddest part of it all is I keep going back to him cause I feel like I don't know any better. I feel like my heart was made to love only him, I'm devestated and I don't want to be anymore. But I don't know anyother way, I want to go on and live a happy life but I feel like I'm stuck and I don't know how to let go of him. I really need help and I have a awesome psychologist but he's situated about 200 miles away from where I live. I also hate to always bother him when I have problems via email or phone calls. Some days I justfeel that I can't go on. I'm on a waiting list here to see a cousellor or a psychiatrist. I don't know how much longer I can wait.

In first world (the most educated) nations, what is compelling people in increasing numbers to become atheists? In the eleven industrial democracies with population over twenty million, non-religious have made more converts than they lost between 1990 and 2000. Atheists had a net loss from conversions in Germany, no doubt because East Germans turned to religion after the fall of communism, but in the other ten large industrial democracies the atheists had net gains through voluntary conversion. Furthermore, atheists were an increasing portion of the population in First World countries, with the exception of Germany, and non-religious people were an increasing portion of all eleven First World countries with populations over 20 million.

Is satan all of a sudden tempting the educated first world citizens, or are people just "waking up?"
