Ok, here's the thing..me n this guy who now is my friend..well, i've been keeping in touch with him every once in a while for the past year..for some reason we just clicked like that..n a couple of weeks ago..i decided 2 write on his wall (the first time in a couple of months) just 2 say hi 2 him, hoping he was doing well. He responded not on my wall, but sent a message..with nuthing but his number on it..didn't say nuthing else..just had his number on it, which kind of made me freeze..i gave him mine a couple of days later, and about a week later he would text me..just a few times 2 say what's up n everything..but i make sure, and i'm guessing he's making sure that we don't talk everyday because that can make u grow tired of a person u kno..y do u think he gave me his number? could it be a possibility that he may like me? My best friend thinks i like him but i haven't really told her anything yet....

This is definitely something that can develop into a relationship. As you see that he gave you his number, meaning that he is into you and that he would like you to call him sometime. It is his shy way of telling you "I am interested and I would like to get to know you better" Call him and use his number, who knows where this might lead you. Let your heart guide you and let your soul lead you.

Ok, I have just removed the rope from my neck once again to answer a question from someone who already knows the answer but needs a push.
Yes he likes you, and he has held back for the same reasons you have.
ie, he's stupid.

i tihkn he likes you. guys aren't very good at showing their feelings or anything but maybe you should try and flirt with him to see how he reacts.
