House work is as important as work in society. Its not just keeping things clean and making dinner. It means spending time with the kids and teaching them values.

Both jobs are important; it just happens that since women give birth and need time to recover, it was 'natural' to give them household duties. I dont see anything wrong if the roles are switched. Society just normally likes to see that men go out.

That depends on the couple (or family). I'm a homemaker and my husband supports us. Once I finish school and am working, if he'd rather stay home, more power to him! It's all about what works for the family!

if a woman can stand how the house is kept by a man then yes. I try to keep the house clean but have to admit that when the wife cleans it, it freakin shines. I'm more of a surface cleaner. She cleans the doors, drawers, fridge, light fixtures. I don't think most of us want to deal with it that deeply.

There is no problem with the man taking care of the home. As long as both of the people are comfortable with it and agree to the outcomes.

i think if the woman wants to work, and the man wants to be home, there is no problem with it. i wouldn't call the guy lazy. i mean, i never wanted my daughter to be in daycare, so i stayed home with her, because my husband already had a career. but if it was me with the career, i would prefer he stay home, to keep my daughter out of daycare. that is an awful stereotype that the woman has to stay home, and if its the man is at home he's a loser.

As long as someone is home with the kids, it doesn't really matter anymore if it's Mom or Dad. If there are no kids, you should both work, and retire a little earlier.

Sure, why not? I'd actually like it better that way. It's high time that women started taking control of their relationships.
