Here's how it is:
I love to write.
And, of course, like most people, I want to write a book.
Normal, right?
Well, here's where my problem comes in....
I want to make a totally cool book just for teen girls, but I don't want it to come off like some cheap Clique series or Mean Girls movie knock-off.
How can I make a fashion-loving little circle filled with drama, without making it sound like some stupid bitchy-blonde stereotype?

Talk to real teenage girls, find out real issues and situations. Use alot of humour. Most teen girls i know are funny and witty and maybe even a little bitchy!

Define your characters don;t make them stereotypical, give them personality and please don't make one be the outsider then suddenly become part of the popular group only to realise its evil. That is so cliche.

Try to be original & real! And good luck! Make sure you tell me when you finish your book and i'll read it!

=)

Write it from another point of view than the bitchy-blonde stereotype point of view..

Maybe the life of a not so popular kid..
a Teachers point of view..
A Book about REAL TEEN Problems.. maybe a collection of short stories about different situations..

Figuring out the plot is the job of the storyteller (you!) I'll throw out ideas though:

1. Girl pirates
2. Girls who work as pages for a State politician's office
3. Teenage girls taking on local college girls who they find snobby.

Just remember MOBSTER:
Menstruation
Orientation (perhaps gay)
Breasts
Suicide
Teen Love (rather than just sluts that flirt with every single boy)
Erroneous Accusations (idk it started with "e")
Restarting Life as an Adult Rather Than a Kid

For extra points throw in some ratty old pants and an abusive father and BAM New York Times Best Seller
