Many books describe the early eons of the universe in terms of things occurring for so many millions of years. Since our measurement of time (one year) comes from the earth's orbit of the sun, neither of which body existed for most of the early cosmic expansion, how is it possible to speak of processes as occurring over a quantity of years? Even using more sophisitcated time keeping, such as rates of particle decay or atomic resonance, how can those be measuring rods for time when those particles did not exist at the time being measured. In short, how can we quantify the passage of time early in the universe's history when the things we use as time's yardsticks didn't exist?

I feel like utter crap and i feel a cough coming on. Which is bad because anytime i get a cough it is ridiculous. i get zero sleep for about 2 weeks and have an annoying cough for about a month. so i'm trying to head it off before it gets too bad...any suggestions?

If a minor child made a claim of sexual harassment that resulted in the firing of another employee are the employers required to tell the parents or the police? What right does the parent have and can the parent press charges on the individual or is that up to the minor? This in Virginia and a timely response will be greatly appreciated.

So my Boxer is almost 7 weeks old and I don't know if this is a puppy her age.

first off shes not very playful she would rather sleep in a corner than play. I have a 2 yr old and she will play around with him some but after about 5 mins she calls it quits and goes back in the coner to sleep.

also 2 nights ago we were playing with her and she was actually a little hyper for once and when we all went to bed i put her in her crate to sleep. In the morning when i went to let her outside she would not put much pressure on her front left paw and when she would she would limp. After a little while she began to walk and play like nothing was wrong with it. This morning she was walking and she seemed to trip up over her feet or something bc she just kinda fell over. but got up and walked normal afterward. I just got home and when i was feeding her she did not want to put pressure on her back right leg. I am bringing her this weekend to get her shots and see the vet for a puppy check up.

I was thinking of getting a few bags of cement, and sprinkling it over my river rocks, and spraying it with water. I have a hard time keeping up with the weeds!!!! I am flying with Quantas Airlines to Brisbane, Australia, in the following week, and I am wondering about the details of the flight.
How is the leg room for economy seats?
Do you get a "gift pack" with flight goodies ie. toothpaste, eye covers, etc.?
How is the service/ flight attendants?
Are there movies played?
Do you get a personal screen in the headreat in front of you?
Just things I was wondering. If you have anything else to add. I would really appreciate it!!!
