I was thinking of getting a few bags of cement, and sprinkling it over my river rocks, and spraying it with water. I have a hard time keeping up with the weeds!!!! I am slightly disabled and can't take care of it as I did. Need a solution. I seem to be spending a ton of money on weed killers that promise a year, but don't last 3 months.

That's a bummer. It would be nice if you had a weed barrier down under the rocks so if you can find someone to do labor landscape fabric would be nice then rocks then mulch to hide fabric. Another solution that won't get rid of all the weeds but I would also use for first suggestion is to sprinkle "Preen" on soil or mulch. This product stops all seeds from germinating. For a time. Must reapply. I suggest killing weeds and then adding Preen to keep new ones from emerging. Good luck.

There are two ways and they both have Spray in them. I like the first way best, but the second way you can do all by yourself.

(1) With a string line cutter or faux similarcut down all weeds as low, as possible, rake up debris. You can use a weed killer and spray the entire area. If you want to avoid the onslaught of the same weeds next year, you can purchase a pre-emergence typee weed killer and spray the entire area next August.

(2) Let the live growth stay and use week killer sprayed directly on the weeds. Let the dead dogs lie.

For Fall clean up spray the whole area with RoundUp.
Early spring, when the temp is warm enough.... not sure where you live, apply a granular pre emergent herbicide (Caseron) that will persist under the rocks for the whole season - I promise. Unless of course you get a lot of heavy rain as that will wash it away or leach it our of the soil.
The other option, as long as there would be no chance of leaching into desirable plant material - would be a soil sterilant. This is very effective.

ok, so i don't think of that could be a solid theory to bypass tubing in a river in case you're intoxicated. So do not drink too plenty. =/ yet i'd bypass to shore and hit upon a tree...do not pee interior the river like quite a few different lady mentioned, you will get micro organism and...ew? Haha.

Dig or pull the weeds (or have someone do it for you at first), then mulch the area heavily with cypress mulch or pine straw. This will also make your flower beds look nice and the cypress even repel some insects. You won't be totally weed free but it certainly did the trick for my garden!
