For example, people who dabble with divination.

A boy wanted to skip kindergarten so he could join the third graders. His teacher, shocked, took him to the principal’s office. The teacher and the principal decided to ask the boy a couple of questions as a test. “What is 3 x 3?” the principal asks. “9,” the boy answers. “What is 6 x 6?” the principal asks again. “36,” the boy answers.” The principal looks at the teacher and tells her, “I think he can go to the third-grade.” “Wait, let me ask him some more questions,” the teacher insists. The principal agrees. “What starts with a C and ends with a T, is hairy, oval, delicious and contains thin whitish liquid?” the teacher asks. The principal’s eyes opened wide in horror. “Coconut,” the boy answers. “What goes in hard and pink then comes out soft and sticky?” the teacher continues. The principal can’t believe his ears. “Bubblegum,” the boy replies. “You stick your poles inside me. You tie me down to get me up. I get wet before you do,” the teacher goes on. “Tent,” the boy answers. “I have a stiff shaft. My tip penetrates. I come with a quiver.” “Arrow,” the boy answers. “Damn it, put him in the sixth grade,” the principal interrupts. “I got all your questions wrong myself!”

Is it just me or are the muslims over reacting? I mean it was a quote not the words of the pope!

If the Catholic Church and Catholic People were to hold demonstrations every time they got critisism they would be demonstrating every day! And they do get critism every day.......direct critism! not indirect like is the case with the muslims and Pope Benidict.

P.S. A few years ago if you went to Saudi Arabia and they found a bible on you, you were refused entry!!! Muslim idiots!

I know a bit about chess such as there are more possible games of chess than there are grains of sand on earth. But i was still wondering Is chess just a more complicated version of Tic tac toe (noughts and crosses) in that there is a perfect counter move that black can make so that the game always ends in a draw no matter what move white makes, or is there a way in which white can win everytime no matter what move black makes, Or is being white a disadvantage and could black win everytime? Plus if there is a perfect game (beit it one that allways ends in a draw or a win) do you think that a computer will come up with it?

He eats any poo he finds, if I don't stop him in time but he prefers his own. We don't like this habit and would like to curb it. Also he likes day old, not fresh. Any comments on how to break this , he is 95 pounds about seven years old in people years, and otherwise a loving, friendly and wonderful friend.

I'm interested in the concept of:

- Showing adequate "respect" for Islam
- Not offending Muslims

Partly because there are people who want to kill me if I do, but only partly. Like most people I'm a reasonable chap who doesn't want to cause undue offence (I know there are lots who do want to - but most don't).

Now, given that I am not a Muslim, I will not avow all the aspects of the Islamic faith that a Muslim would. I do not, for example, believe that Muhammad was a prophet. Nor do I believe that the Quran is true. These two criticisms of Islam seem to me to be inherent in the concept of "non-Muslim" - if I believed in the truth of the Quran and the prophetic status of Muhammad I would be a Muslim.

Now presumably Muslims would agree that I may follow any religion I choose (and anyone other than Islam implies the two statements above). However there are certain other criticisms that would be offensive..

Can any Muslim explain to me where the line is?
