I would like some educated input on whether it is better to sit with a good book or watch a well made movie. To make my case I'll throw out some examples. Consider the character "Hannibal Lector", in the books by Harris, you can dismiss him to a degree, Anthony Hopkins' live screen version of him makes your skin crawl with his excellent portrayal of the lunatic anti-hero. My favorite book as a child was "Stuart Little" a wonderfully charming book that was bastardized on the silver screen to make a dollar and so detracted from the original story that it was unrecognizable without seeing the credits. The jury is still out on "Lord of the Rings" as I was captured by the visual beauty of the films but disappointed by the missing material and characters. Any thoughts?

This has been going on for like 1/2 a year now...there's this girl who everytime I look up, she's always staring at me. She's rly outgoing w/ every1 else, but it seems like she's actually sorta shy around me,she just acts different. 2day we had to take a group pic with the class and everyone was dressed up and I was wearing this rly cute dress and I turned around and she was staring right at me w/ this intense look on her face, she didn't even say anything tho-it was REALLY weird and I just looked away and started talking to my friends cuz it was just awkward! On the first day of school I was at my lunch table w/ my friends and she was sitting with one of her other friends (she's rly popular actually) but I randomly looked up and she was like staring at me the same way she was this morning& I just looked down and pretended not to see her. I'm not imagining this or anything I swear &she's rly nice to ME but not my friends.WTF do u think is going on?

Her uncle passed away, from what I understood they were not close anyways but she is very dramatic and of course crying on the phone..and her son got hurt as well at school playing. I understand that everything happening at once became overwhelming for her. She asked him for help to take his son for the week-end, not a problem, we changed our already made plans. Then asked for Mon and Tue as well, as the funeral is Tues. She's not taking him to the funeral but she does not think he should go to school. Usually I offer to take him myself as his father does work full time, but latley his son doesn't like me much as I don't tolerate him being bold or disrespectful. She asked the father if there were other family members that could watch him for the two days but everyone else is busy, but not once mentioned me.I didn't volunteer, but I wouldn't deny. She phoned back crying and said forget it if you don't want your son I found a friend who will take him, forget the weekend, hung up.

To have a extremely violent, yet healthy relationship with your wife? I mean she always tries to kill me, but we always laugh at it and she's never asked for a divorce or anything...And I know I do love her and she'd never do anything to hurt me, that is shown by my 3 missing fingers, 2 missing toes, and 7 broken bones due to her. She even gave me a concussion once. So please help!!!

The common denominator across all religions is simply an acknowledgment that there is a higher force than man.

The rest is all superfluous wrapping paper that billions of people can't see beneath.

As a manager of a resturant, is it proper to ask a prospective employee during an interview if they are a Yankee Fan? If one slips in by mistake, is it okay to discharge them? In my state, you do not need to have a reason to fire someone.
