When asked by a journalist about Indian tribal sovereignty issues, he answered...

President Bush so fully flubbed his response that journalists in the room began laughing at him.

I don't like to know that anybody was laughed at for being mentally retarded...even old Dubya.

maybe violence not the answer, but I never had a chance to confront him about it and now will be seeing him in a few weeks at a cousin's wedding. ok I've got long hair, beard and tend to wear black lots (had a lip piercing last I saw him but gone now), but that's all he went on. the second he saw me at the airport 5 years ago he clammed up and gave me evils. I see him every years 5 or so, he lives in south america me in europe. I am 28, educated and well adjusted (i think haha), and i believe my loving mother did a great job bringing me up, especially as I was a 'difficult' teenager shall we say.

My rage has stayed dormant up till now, but just found out that he'll be at the wedding. Not sure what I'm going to do when I see him but another crap comment to my mum and I'm afraid it could be a trip to casualty for him. Not a violent person me, but grrrrrr, not happy about this one....what should I do folks?

I dont undertsend mens when try to play macho men and say i never cry I AM A MEN!!! I'm trying to make up a job/chore list for my daughters so they can earn some pocket money and help out around the house. There are plenty of jobs that my 10 year old can do but I can't think of anything my 8 year old could do.

I want them doing jobs seperately as my youngest can be very lazy and my eldest will end up doing all the work.

Does anyone have any suggestions??

In the middle of a dark night, a team of 4 somewhat injured commandoes are on their way back from a tough mission. To complete their return, they have to cross a narrow, dangerous and collapsing bridge. The leader of the team makes some quick estimates:



The bridge would collapse completely in 17 minutes
Due to the injuries, each member would take a different time to cross the bridge. The time for the different members to cross the bridge are 10 min, 5 min, 2 min and 1 min respectively.
Due to the dangers involved, at most two members can travel across the bridge at a time
Moreover, they have only one working flashlight, which means that the flashlight must be carried back for the next pair to cross the bridge


Can they all make it across in time? If so, then how?
