There is no biblical teaching at all that states we are to pray to those who once were alive on earth and are now in heaven. Revelation, the same book used by them to justify their position says the following:

"And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, "Do not do that; I am a fellow servant of yours and your brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus; worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy," (Rev. 19:10).

John wants to bow the knee and worship the angel. But the angel tells him not to do that because he is a fellow creature. If the angel says that he is a fellow creature like John, and that John is not to bow to him, then neither should anyone else bow to an angel, or any creature so as to offer worship. Worship includes prayer. Therefore, no one should pray to any created thing.
Biblically, prayer is always offered to God, and is a form of worship. All religions view prayer as an act of worship to their gods since they contain petitions, confession of sin, requests of intercession, etc., things which are received and answered by God, not by created things. Also, prayer is not the same thing as talking to someone face-to-face. Prayer is a humble petition to the Lord in and not to a friend who's in the same room with you or on the other end of the phone -- or in heaven. Prayer is offered to God, never to any created thing. To do so is to offer worship that should only be directed to God, which is idolatry. Prayer should be offered only to God and the Roman Catholic Church needs to repent of its false and idolatrous practice of praying to the saints.

just recently my stomach has been very bloated and rock hard. Why is this? I'm not gassy or anything. It feels uncomfortable, like I'm flexing my stomach all the time. I don't feel like my stomach is relaxed.

i hate myself im always fulstrated it is mosly because of how i look its funny becuase i know im not ugly but i see myself ugly and boring and i feel like no girl woud ever wana be with me and im alway comparing myslef to other human like how my head is bigger then theres and i find my body weird and as a metter of fact im not even fat and i have a six pack and everything but i just want myself to be so perfect for examply i have a big face and i have alway looked soft and soo the point is that i have neever liked myself and my life i dont know why and i dont see any point in life and so i scared because i keep getting thoughts on my head about killing myslef to get rid of this depression i also compare that my friends have bigger penis and mine is just 6 inches and small

The only way I know to turn it of is by pressing the play/pause button.
and sometimes with just a little click it turns on.
Like when I was in this party I took my Ipod out and it was out of battery, it was on.

I just moved to a new city and i kinda like this boy, and we have classes together and we talk in school and out side of school when we happen to run into each other. But sometimes on the bus i catch him staring at me, and when he hears someone telling me someting bad about me that they heard he's always like girl you know i aint say that i love you, and when he talks to me and i dont answer back hell bug me till i answer him. when his "boys" flrit with me he dont say nothing or makes a face like you need to stop.

I am recently married. My wife has a 3yr old daughter whose father is not in the picture. My wife has told me that it is okay to spank her, but I don't necessarily feel comfortable putting my hands on someone else's child.

I have two kids whose mother is in the picture, so I couldn't allow my wife to spank my kids. My 10 year old is VERY well behaved and hasn't needed chestising in almost 3 years. My 6 year old occasionaly needs a spanking, but rarely.

My 3 year old stepdaughter however is in desperate need of disciplining. She a sweet kids, but does things that are either disrespectful or dangerous at time. My wife is free spritited, and so is her daughter. Unfortunately, a 3 year old that plays with scissors and cuts her own hair, comes in and out the house when she feels like it, writes on walls, and plays with paint & other chemical is a very dangerous thing to have.

Do you think I should begin spanking my stepdaughter?

I was looking at a type of bat the other day (producer will go unnamed) and one half of it was discoloured grain, there were about six of them like this...my dad managed to get the same type bat with good willow but would this discolouration have affected the bat's performance?

my boyfriend/fiancee have been together since new years, and my mom HATES him. he is a sweet wonderful guy, but is 8 years older than me. while age isnt an issue, i think thats what set her off from the beginning. We've done everything we could think of to get her to open up to him, he even cooked us all dinner one time and yet she refuses to even be open to the possibility of liking him. I really love this man, and plan on marrying him, and i don't want there to be a strained relationship between them, because that equals strained relationship between my mom and myself.
