The only way I know to turn it of is by pressing the play/pause button.
and sometimes with just a little click it turns on.
Like when I was in this party I took my Ipod out and it was out of battery, it was on.
And also how could I change the name of the Ipod?

Make sure that you slide the hold slider switch on the top of the unit.(Nano)
To change the name of your ipod you need to be connected to itunes, click on preferences, select ipod, when your ipod is connect. You should be able to change the name there. Or just rename it when it appears on the list.

go into setting and shange them around so sleep is in the main menu to turn it off select sleep
and to keep it from turing on use the "lock" slide thingy

Holding the play/pause button is the only way to turn it off, but to make sure it doesn't turn on, slide the lock tab to lock.

you press the play/pause button and flip the switch that says hold on the top of the i-pod

you can put it in "sleep mode" by going to settings then set the option to but "sleep mode" on your main menu then when u click on it it turns off your iPod basically and remember to use the hold switch

unfortunately so far there no other way to turn it off, and to make sure it wont turn on after you shut it off, do use the lock key on it so that when the keys are pressed it wont just turn on.

just press and hold the play button and that's it it will turn off,to turn it back on just press the menu.
