I was reading "Infancy Gospel of James.” on Mary’s life, beginning with her parents, an elderly couple named Joachim and Anne. At age 3, Mary is presented to the priests in Jerusalem, where she is raised. At age 12, the priest summons the widowers of Israel and tells each to bring a staff. One will take Mary as a wife. Joseph, an old man with grown sons, a dove appears. He is chosen. Joseph protests, arguing that he is too old, but agrees. While Joseph is out, an angel tells Mary that she will have a divine child and is to name him Jesus. Upon finding Mary pregnant, Joseph resolves to leave but an angel informs him that Mary has conceived by the Holy Spirit.
- HAVE I GOT IT RIGHT SO FAR?

OK - So God gets Mary pregnant at age 12? Does that make God a Pedophile? I mean, most already said it was ok for him to get her pregnant without her conscent - but how do you explain this one? A 12 Year old??? COME ON.....Where is whynotaskdon when you need him.

Don't you think people who say Quetzalcoatl doesn't exist are making a rather bold and unsupportable accusation?

Doesn't it take an incredible amount of faith to say such a thing?

Since we can't disprove the existence of Quetzalcoatl, isn't the proper position to say "I don't know. Maybe Quetzalcoatl exists, maybe not. Either way, we can't be sure and so it isn't proper to say he doesn't exist."

But you CAN be sure he exists! Just invite Quetzalcoatl into your heart, and offer him a sacrifice, and then you can know he's real. If you believe and he's not real, you lose nothing. If you don't, and he is real, he's not going to be very happy. Do you really want to anger him?

ok in general I am a believer of god. Now recently I reunited with a long lost friend. She is in the proccess of divorcing her husband and tells me she recognized in herself she never really loved him it was more of a marriage of financial gain and codependence. Now with that being said I told her I thought she was very brave for being able to admit this to herself. The conversation continued and she then told me she had found god, and she felt thankful for all he has given her. I told her that was wonderful. Then she asked me why was it that I was not married to the man that I have been with and the father of my children for so many years. I told her it was never an issue for us and in our hearts we are. Then next the dreaded words came. God frowns upon this and you will have to stand in judgement of your sins. I couldnt believe it. Why does religion tend to seperate instead of bringing one another together. Isnt this the very message Jesus the messenger of god tried to tell us.

I swim at an olympic size pool. When there's light rain, I'm 0K, but when I see lightnings or hear thunder I get out. I've actually stayed to finished my laps sometimes when there's lightning. But I was terrified, I just wanted to get it over with. The pool is over 30 years old, and I've asked some of the retired people who are always there if lightning has ever fallen in the pool, they tell me NEVER. So why am I still affraid?

I have been to the Outer Banks many times, but would like to know if I am missing out on anything. I have been to the lighthouses, etc. It has been 4 years since I've been there...anything new? Something other than the typical tourist spots would be nice. I will be there Sept. 16-23. No hurricanes please! Hehehe
