I've been thinking recently about majoring in French at a nice college around here (University of Pittsburgh), but I don't know if the feild has potential for a lot of job possibilities! I am interested in being an interpreter or Foreign Service, but what if I get sick of that? Then what? IF I did major in French, I would probably minor in International Studies.
People say that you never use your major from college, but it's got to have SOME validity in job searching. I'm afraid that if I apply for a job, they'll see that I only have a degree in French, and turn me down.

Has anyone here gone to college for this feild? Did you find that it had room for growth?

Me and my boyfriend had been going out for 4 months exactly when he tells me we should see other people. He said that he wasn't dumping me for someone else and that he still really liked me, but his life was really hectic at that time and he thought that a girlfriend would make it more complicated. He said that he wanted to go back out with me, so it was more like a break then a break up. The same day, I get a call from one of my best friends saying that he had called her. He talked about how he still loved me, but there were other girls that he liked that he saw every day. Also that the same day he broke up with me he went over to one of his friend's house and she asked him out and he was considering it. What I get from it is that he broke up with me before he started cheating on me. Also when he said that he wanted to go back out with me, he was saying that he wanted to go back out with me, but I had to wait until he went out with a bunch of other girls first. What does it mean?

My boyfriend says he loves me more than anything, an wants to be with me. thats grand but our relationship hasn't been normal for a number of months. he stays with me every weekend and i see him most nites but we never have s.e.x.. we have a son he isn't one yet wud this have anything to do with it. at the wekd i was so h.o.r.n.y and was dying for a kiss and cuddle and the rest and he just said im immature and don't understand we can't? what that all abt? im 20 he 25. we were supposed to be buying a house together and during the week he said no can't cos im too young and thinks be 2 much strain on relationship. i havent felt happy this past wile cos of lack of attention in bedroom i feel i can't chat to him or im being immature what is his problem? any help would be great??

I got this book from the UK, called "The EasyWay to Stop Smoking" by Allen Carr. Read it in one day, only cost about $10 including shipping. Talks about the psycological withdrawal symptoms, which are much worse than the nicotine addiction, and gives great (and sometimes funny) tips from a very heavy ex-smoker who wrote this book. Would recommend it to anyone!

Background: My fiance and I will be getting married on December 16th. We will be traveling from Columbus, OH to Orlando for our honeymoon on December 17th and leaving on December 21st. We are purchasing three-day park hopper tickets to Walt Disney World and planning to stay at a Disney resort.

I saw my friend on Sunday. He dropped by unexpectedly. We talked for about 2 hours. He had told me 4 months ago that he wanted to move our relationship forward. When I saw him on Sunday, I asked him if things had changed between us. He told me if anything his feelings for me had grown deeper. I then asked him if he would like to start dating. He said yes. He then told me that he needed the assurance from me that was what I wanted us to do.

Did I do the right thing by asking him if he wanted to start dating? We have known each other for about a year. I was floored when he told me that his feelings for me had grown stronger. I told hm that my feelings had done the same and that I was crazy about him.

When a man tells you that his feeling have grown deeper for you, is this a good thing? His exact words were that "if anything," his feelings have grown deeper for me.

I am feeling a little scared and overwhelmed by all of this. He is very shy and I am too.
