Mine did but I can see how it would be very hard my current husband and I lived 3 hours away from each other and we both worked so on Friday evening he would drive to see me and stay the weekend honestly he put all the effort in to it I dont know if I would have done that drive each week he then drove back on Sunday evening and during the week we emailed each other during the day and spoke on the phone at night we have been together about 3 years and we have never one day with out at least speaking to each other on the phone. we met here on yahoo personnels.It takes a ton of trust which is probubly the hardest

Tough... I've been in a couple before and they just didn't last because the relationship seemed to be going nowhere.

No... but also depends on how apart whether it is driving distance or flying distance or way on the other side of the world
