My daughter is struggling with her school work.I am wondering if she is really reading or just day dreaming.
If she is reading than there is a problem, because about two minutes after she is done reading she doesn't remember what she read. Any suggestions.... need real help (no jokes please)
this only happens when she is doing Scienc and Social Studies (two subjects she does not like)

My mother complains she never gets to see her grandchildren. I have two daughters, three years old and ten months. My husband works 6 days a week and takes our only vehicle to and from work. So, the reason my mom doesn't see her grandchildren is my lack of a vehicle. I invivted her over on monday, I told her she could see the girls and have dinner. She said no. Then I asked her on the phone today if she wanted to take my oldest for the weekend. She told me she didn't know, would call me later. But she will then turn around and complain she never sees them. I think she should take some intitive on her part and make an effort to see them. My dad doesn't work all day like my husband so she has a vehicle a good portion of the day. I want to just flip out and tell her to get off her butt and come over and see them. The sad thing is my three year old keeps asking for her grandma. She wants to visit her. So, a few weeks ago I told her I would come over on a sunday she told me no. HELP!

At work there was a weird new guy.He had a very pale skin, thick black hair and hazel eyes. He seems kinda smart. I wonder if he dyed it? Do u think he's cute? I talked to him he didn't not seem goth or punk. Do you think I should invite him?

I've danced with the devil on many occassions (flat-lined twice during a coma, severe car accidents, cancer...) and I was wondering if anyone has had actual death experiences as I have had. My only concern is, I've never once been greeted by an angel or seen any "white lights". So, tell me some stories; I'd like to speak with someone this has also happened to.

There's this minipin that comes into our condo complex and poops all over our lawn and runs around to every door and antagozises all the dogs in the complex and drives them crazy. He has no collar or ID of any kind.

I tried to talk to her owner NICELY but she just gave me attitude. I approached her by saying I'm concerned about her dog getting run over by a car in our complex. He's very small and people often can't see him when they're backing out. She just stared at me and said "ah hun" and nothing else. I asked her to please keep him on a leash so he doesn't get accidentally run over-nothing! He still runs all over the neighborhood. I don't want to call the animal control because it's not the dog's fault. It's the irrisponsible owner's fault. I don't want to run the risk of him gettinng euthanized because of her.

Here's my question... would it be wrong to take him to an no-kill rescue shelter and just tell them that I found him as a stray? That way maybe he'll get a better home.

i don't mean "better" as it first comes to mind,i mean your best friend is someone who's more succesful than you are, and it's always pushed you to be better and get the best out of yourself. but after awhile you realize that ppl don't get equal chances in life.
do u think that this could affect your relationship? and if so does it mean that u think ppl should only hang out with those similar to them? won't that define you to a small group of people????

Was this someone that Jesus knew personally, and if so, when and where did they meet? Surely he was a historical person, because he is mentioned in the Bible, and we know that everything in the Bible really happened.

"Jesus continued: 'There was a man who had two sons.'" -Luke 15:11 (NIV). There is no mention of Jesus saying, "OK, here is a fictional story I'm using to illustrate a point: There was a man..." No, if Jesus said "There was a man..."; then there must have been a man, and he must have had two sons, who behaved exactly as described in Jesus' historical account.

Or is it possible that some stories in the Bible were actually intended as parables; metaphors we could use to help us lead better lives, but not to be taken as literal fact? Since it doesn't say specifically in Luke that the Prodigal Son is a parable, how do you know which other stories weren't also intended as metaphors? Like Genesis, for example.

Hi. I'm looking to buy a new Honda Accord coupe EX-V6 (manual) and obviously, the price is making me think extra hard. I live in NYC and visited a local authorized honda dealership.. and they told me it would run me about 26k. MSRP is 27,500. I dont know whether this is a good price or not.. but I know that taxes are gonna kill me and probably run me at least 30k with these people. (P.S.- I am financing probably most or all of it) Now I was considering going to another state and buying it (even if I have to fly there and drive back), but am I going to have problems registering it here in NY? This is my first time buying a new car so I'd appreciate some good advice in how I should approach dealers in other states... meaning I dont want to go to another state just to test drive, not buy and come home. Even if I was to buy it from another state, which state around me is CLOSEST and cheaper??
Another question is, my FICO (credit score) is about 630. What rate should I expect? THANK YOU!!!

It seems that as people change from children to adults, a lot of them lose their creative spark. Less want to draw or paint, less want to create music..et cetera. Even using this spark for business becomes stifled by many. What might be going on in the heads of these people that they would stop doing this?

A certain automobile can decelerate at |a1| = 1.7 m/s2. Traveling at a constant v1 = 30 m/s, this car comes up behind a car traveling at a constant v2 = 5 m/s

How close to the slower car can the driver of the faster car come before applying his brakes and still avoid a collision?
D =______ m

Unfortunately, the driver of the faster car does not apply his brakes until he is just 30 m behind the slower car! Call the instant at which he applies the brakes t = 0.

At what time does the inevitable collision of the two cars occur?
