Not necessarily! We want to be older when we are very young, then when over forty we want to act younger and fear getting older and when in old age, you certainly don't look forward to getting even older.
But that's life!

Well, to a point. I guess people would love to age as long as they stayed looking and feeling young and they could pass for much younger.

Some stupid goddess or half-mortal chick or...I don't remember who. Some Greek mythological woman asked a favor of a Greek deity (I think it was Aphrodite--she's kind of a b!tch, so this sounds like something she'd do) for her boyfriend to live forever. Unfortunately, she should have asked for eternal youth rather than immortality because he just kept getting older and shrunk as he aged. Now, he's a grasshopper in a box and every time you open the box, he croaks, "kill me! Kill me!" but you can't because you can't take back eternal life. I guess technically you could arrange for the poor shmuck to have eternal sleep, but nobody thought of that. I might be the first person who suggested it. So not everybody wants to keep getting older.

I don't follow the logic of this at all. We all get old, that's it, there's nothing we can do to prevent it. Some idiots pay vast sums of money to try & regain their youth, but it changes nothing really. Why would anyone want to be older than they are, unless they are trying to buy a drink in a pub?

I definately wouldnt want to go back to the teenage years! I suppose there will come an age that that old age will be welcomed rather than death, but listening to old people in a nursing home they are ready to die and go to heaven.I guess the operative word is "READY".You have to have made peace with yourself and God and ready to move on.

lol - you are not very old, are you?!! we only want to get older till we are adults - then we want to stay young (for a lot more years than we were wishing to be older).
