It is a religion which,
throughout its 1,400-year history, has lent itself well to fanaticism, terrorism, mass
murder, oppression and conversion by the sword. Long before the age of political
correctness and multicultural indoctrination, Winston Churchill, that keen observer,
described Islam as, "that religion which above all others, was founded and propagated by
the sword – the tenets and principles of which are … incentives to slaughter and which in
three continents had produced fighting breeds of men (and) stimulates a wild and
merciless fanaticism."
It's so obvious that it hardly bears repetition. You don't have Orthodox rabbis
hijacking airplanes in response to Jews for Jesus. Jesuits don't shoot up Baptist
seminaries to protest the Reformation. Members of the Church of Latter Day Saints don't
tell you they'll cut your throat if you don't accept the prophetship of Joseph Smith and
the authenticity of the Book of Mormon. Buddhists don't put out contracts on those who
offend them. Hindus don't call members of other religions, dogs, pigs and the sons of
apes.

I read this in the mid 80s. The plot was a man who had to find his girfriend who I think was kidnapped by a dragon. The only part that I really remember is that the Merlin charachter has an ulcer and he advises him to drink a glass of milk. "Merlin" makes the glass appear with milk in it and drinks it and feels better.
Any ideas??? Thanks so much

i live in a muslim community, my family is muslim though not religious, im an atheist,i don't pray or practice religion as my family doesn't force me but they are still not so open minded as to accept the idea of my atheism..so i just kept it to myself.
now i will move to live and study in a european country, which is like a huge opportunity for me to be the person i truly am (as an open minded free spirit atheist) but the problem is..that i will leave in this octobre which happens to be Ramadan in the islamic calender (the month muslims fast in from sunrise to sunset) i've never ever fasted in my whole life or been a good muslim and i wasnt planning on fasting, until one of the muslim friends from my nationality called me yesterday to gather with other students and decide where to eat at sunset .
it seems that she wants us to fast and eat together and maybe even pray together.. and i dont want to pretend..something that im not anymore and if i don't go to eat with them,

I am jealous. No doubt. Insecure (crap job still looking for a better one dilligently). We live together in his house (we rented together b4 he bought it).

The jealousy thing is a BIG thing btween us. I so love him and his qualities.

How do I go about correcting behavior/beliefs and how do I get it in concrete in my head that he really does love/want only me?

The next time I shoot my mouth off....I'll be on the street. And to that I am worried that because I do not have a great job to support myself(he is such a good guy)he would not throw me to the curb.

Normally he would come home maybe 3am ish, going out w/the buddies after work...4:30 ish....the new restaurant/bar he's a partner in and needs to do "stuff" there, 5:30am! The later has been since I have questioned him.

I DO NOT want to be taken advantage of.....How do I know if all of his info to me is on the up and up?

Major Ralph Peters wrote "How a better Middle East would look" in the newest "ARMED FORCES JOURNAL"

He wrote.....one other dirty little secret from 5,000 years of history, Ethnic cleansing works."

Peters goes on to illustrate how our lives will be mired in a never ending cycle of war, terror and fear as he lays out the manifesto for world war three.

"There will be no peace. At any given moment for the rest of our lifetimes, there will be multiple conflicts in mutating forms around the globe. Violent conflict will dominate the headlines, but cultural and economic struggles will be steadier and ultimately more decisive. The de facto role of the US armed forces will be to keep the world safe for our economy and open to our cultural assault. To those ends, we will do a fair amount of killing."

This is Insane! What do you think?

The statistics show that too many young men die on the roads, or kill others, because of excessive speed. What does it take for them to stop and think: seeing their friends die, or dying themselves?
My dad was killed on his way home from Church, by a speeding 17yo.
