Hypocrisy is just another form of selfishness. Everybody wants to get without giving, it's common to all species on Earth and part of our survival instinct.
Consistency, ethics and altruism only appear when it benefits us more to cooperate and help others. You can't protect your stuff when you're asleep, and you can't steal others' stuff and not expect them to steal yours.

Because fanatics want the world to believe they are holy. Of course they are not but it's an act they put on to try to cover up their own faults.

'cause people fear the shadow of their own doing. they aren't man enough to administer comprehension. never strong enough to muster the courage of facing the truth. they tend to protect their ego rather than be humble to accept defeat or consequence. life is a challenge, a task. face it with a smile and accept reality as it is. to be called a respectful person, a man must learn to accept himself first..
