As a Catholic whose ministry brings me into contact with children, I have had a police background check done on me to assure that I have never been accused of sexual abuse of a child.

I would like to know if other denominations are taking this precaution with volunteers who come into contact with children.

I have a very vocal cat. But he only seems to meow non-stop when 1.) I come home after being gone for a few hours and 2.) In the morning when we come out of the bedroom (he's not allowed in there for many reasons!) Anyway, he'll just walk around the house MEOWING for a good 20 minutes. I fugure he's either been lonely or he is mad at us for leaving him alone. Does anyone else have any ideas for this odd behavior? Thanks!

I have recently started getting Migraines i have had 7 in 3 months. I have other problems that seem to got with the migraine,i have the throbbing pain in the head but i also get thethrobbing pain in my neck,chest and back. After the migraine i feel like i have been in a fight and lost!My body aches i can hardly move. I get pains in my head for 2 or 3 days after the attack. Does anyone else feel this way?

I'm getting married in the next few weeks but, I have some concerns. Lately he seems more controlling but, only in the way of what he says is what goes, regardless of what I say. Sometimes he talks to me like I'm only 12 yrs. old. Lately when we wrestle around he hits me harder than what I think he should. BUT he has never been physically abusive at all. He has called me names when we've gotten in arguments and only then. We petsitted for some friends of ours and the puppy would use the bathroom in the floor and he would spank it too hard, hard enough I couldn't watch and then throw it in the floor. My bird bit him and he thumped it and knocked it out for a while and told me that anything in is house is not going to act like that. I'm not sure if it something to worry about or not, as far as the way he might oneday treat me? He has always treated me like any girl would want to be treated, that is why I'm confused???... Any ideas?

I'm in an open relationship with a guy. We exclusively sleep with each other, but we do things with other people. Anyway, l have new crush on an actor and I had put up poster of the actor all over my room. I even joke that if anyone knows a guy that looks like the actor, to let me know b/c " i'm open to anything."
i think my guy might be jealous. He has been ignoring my calls. He claims its b/c of work but I know he has jealous tendencies. He has been ignoring me but claims its because of work.
But I'm not for sure because I know he has a crush on his Spanish professor and I was ok with that. Infact, I encouraged him to hit on her. And he did use to talk about her alot and I was never upset.
I see my crush as innocent. The actor lives in another country. I'd never meet him. My guy's crush is more of a threat. I think my bf is over reacting. But if I am being a ***** then I'd hide my crush. So am I being mean or is he being sensitive. Or do you think i'm just paranoid?

My youngest daughter is 3, and I finally got her to potty on her own just last week. I think this happened because my oldest daughter started pre-k last week. Hello, I have a dilemma.
I recently reverted to being Muslim about 3 months ago.The problem is, I've been practicing in secret from my family/parents, but now the pressure keeps building up everyday to tell my parents of my faith. The thing is, both my parents are completely against Islam. I live with my mom, and I know she wouldn't be "happy" about me being Muslim, but I feel I need to tell her in order to get this pressure off my chest. I don't even wear hijab because I'm afraid she will see me and freak out about it (well, I actually wear hijab when I'm at school because she doesn't see me there). How should I go about telling her? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
