If that's true, then why do so many commit suicide? I think they had a little more than they could personally handle. Was that an oops or what?

Shouldn't he send them an angel to help them in their "Hour of need" instead of expecting them to "know" he gives a crap, when they feel he doesn't.

Maybe God has a drinking problem and he blacks out...I mean his son can turn water into wine for goodness sakes!
He has the pressures of everyones prayers on his shoulders. I would drink too.
God needs help.
But who is there to give it to him?

Read the reference

1Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

If someone believes in God then they have hope. "And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us" Romans 5:5. A person who has hope would not commit suicide.

they just never saw an end to what they were dealing with.

they viewed their issue negatively instead of on the postive note.

they probably felt alone in their suffering too. that is why more people should extend an ear, give a hug and let the person talk about their issues, no matter how many times another has to hear it.

something we just don't understand, but eventually the answer does come along.

From the moment we are conceived God knows what is to come of our lives, and what choices we will make. He allows us to make choices in life. Too bad for the person that didn't give Him the chance to help him out. If God is going to give us something hard to handle, then He will definitely give us what we need to get through it, as long as we accept that He can and will help us.

Christians who commit suicide have not truly given thier life over to God, because when one gives thier life to God they are at peace and happy and don't want to kill themselves. God does give you only as much as you and Him can handle, and only He only allows that to come your way that is for your good or the good of others.

The problem is that they think they know God and do not, yet they are so proud that they will not let anyone help them or listen when people try to tell them that they are on a WRONG and DANGEROUS path...Some finally end up giving up. It is very sad....Pride truly does go before a fall.

Sounds like an 'oops' to me. And most Christian religions believe that you go to Hell if you commit suicide. Therefore He gives them more than they can handle and condemns them to Hell... Hmmm...

Well, if you are not a good steward and are not handling what God gave you in the proper matter then that's your fault not his. He gave you what you can handle you just didn't follow his instruction on what to do with it. That's what happens when you don't follow God.

"I know God won't give me more than I can handle. I just wish He didn't trust me so much." -Mother Teresa

It is about temptation to sin. God will not permit you to be tempted beyond that which you can bear, but will provide for you a method of escape from that temptation.

It is not about suffering.

It is not about pain.

It IS about being tempted to sin...now if you suffering leads you to want to sin, you should be looking for the escape from the TEMPTATION, not the suffering. We all must bear our own burdens. When they become too heavy, then those children of God are supposed to help you bear your burden.

Good question!

Hmmm... If god gives you as much as you can handle, what about all the children that get cancer? They can't "handle" that, now can they? If something happens that's good, christians say "it is god answering our prayers", but if it's bad, they say "it is god's will at this time". Let's face it - good and bad will happen and christians will always justify it in the name of god. I'm sure they all think the Tsunami was "god's will".
