The vast majority of illegal immigrants in America are Mexican, who were once proverbial for laziness and crime, but now are championed by the liberal media (NY Times) and neoconservative media (Wall Street Journal) as hard-working Americans.

Statistics, however, show otherwise. A recent study by the Pew Hispanic Center reveals the following:

(1) Hispanics are 3 times more likely than non-Hispanics to receive welfare

(2) Hispanics account for 3/4 of the increase in poverty in the USA

(3) 45% of Hispanic children are born out of wedlock

(4) Hispanic women are 2.54 times more likely to than white women to have abortions

(5) Hispanic men are 9 times more likely than white men to beat their partners

(6) Hispanics are 3 times more likely than whites to die of AIDS

(7) They are 4 times more likely to die of tuberculosis

(8) Hispanics are 2 times more likely to be incarcerated than non-Hispanics

(9) They are 3.8 times more likely to be in prison for murder

I am not sure if I have to pay out of pocket for the text books or not either way I can not afford them this is why I have Financial Aid so my question is what has been your experience with this. Did you pay out of pocket then get reimbursed, or did the Financial Aid money come in on time for you to use that money which it is for ? So far the books total $400.00, and the reason I am going to school is to be able to earn more $$$, yet they keep asking for $$$ I do not have up front. Getting upset and discouraged.

Can anyone tell me about Calgary, AB? What is it like there? What is the crime like there? Is rent expensive compared to Ontario? Are there alot of jobs available? What about cities outside of Calgary? What are they like? Is Calgary hard to get around by car? How much are cigarettes out there right now? I have asked questions about my stepson on here before, and though most of the answers that I get are great, a few people, however, have made comments that stepparents shouldn't be disaplining, telling their stepkids what to do, or setting down rule for them, that it should be the "real parents". So does this mean that we basically let our stepkids run over us? Or not encourage them to view us a authority figures? In my case, I am being expected to take over as my stepsons mom, she gave him to us(Yes us, the custody papers have my name on them as one of the primary parents), so if I am doing the duties of a mom, like washing his clothes, buying school supplies, cooking his meals, then shouldn't I have a right to be a true parent to him. Or am I just suppose to be his maid, or as some have put it, his friend? What if my husband isn't home and my stepson does something wrong? Do I let it go till his dad gets home? Why are stepparents not suppose to be "parents" to their step kids?

Lets face it, this planet is ****ed. Its only a matter of time before the ecosystem completely collapses causing millions to die, and that's mainly due to over population. By having (many) children you are adding to the problem, hastening the planet's demise, and making your children/grandchildren face a horrible death.

So is it better to not have children than to give in to what are, lets face it, animalistic urges to self replicate?

I know children can give pleasure, but isn't it a selfish short term pleasure, at others, and ultimately their own expense?
