I'm not mechanically inclined, and live in a 3rd floor apartment; my water heater is not shared with anyone...... when taking a shower, my water temp will noticeably change. I can be under the water for 3-5 minutes and then for 2-3 seconds it would be quite hot........ or go very cold, then it is back to 'normal'. the fimeframe upto when it changes varies, and sometimes doesn't happen at all.

How does this occur? Is there anything I can to do 'prevent' it?

Other things....... nothing else is 'on' that might affect the water temp. I've recently turned off the AC..... no washer/dryer or dishwasher going. No other major appliances besies the 'fridge'? This was to rule out them as the culprit-----still I get the infrequent water temp changes.

I figure this is a mechanical 'thing', but just don't know how to attack it, investigate, research, much less FIX.

I have a problem. I am in love with the most wonderful man on this earth. He is smart, funny, clever, sensitive, and thank God, straight! He is eighteen. And I am a minor. It started when we went on a trip to Spain in the same school group. He was a leader, I was a student. Over the rich two weeks I spent in paradise, I fell in like, then in love with him. Every moment I spend with him is like a moment in Heaven. But now Spain is gone, I am home, and he is working. I visit him regularly at his job as a lifeguard, but I, being the coward that I am, have failed to confess why I come. I don't know what to do! I have a feeling that he feels the same way, but even if he does, can I do anything about it? Is it legal even for us to see each other affectionately, even if we don't do anything (which I am not planning on doing!)? Just as a point of reference, I live in Oklahoma. Please help me!

Okay, here's the thing- There's a guy who is really sweet, and really nice and all, and he fauns over me. He's one of the only guys at school that thinks I'm beautiful how I am. (And I'm not a supermodel... or popular.) He does a lot of things I like, too. What's the problem?

I don't want to get into a relationship with a guy yet. I'm young and restless. But every night he haunts me, seeming to ask why I don't like him, and why I haven't asked him out yet. I also don't like how immature he is, and how lazy and his lack of effort. He's also quite overweight (I say so at risk of sounding shallow), and I know he could lose a few pounds.

I've been even plotting with my gal pals to give him a makeover. We're desperate. I don't want to leave him high and dry, nor do I want someone I won't be happy with.

I'm torn in two. What should I do?

it's a short story about an incident that occured during the Holocaust. a Jewish (?) man is taken by the Nazis and told to dig 3 graves and bury 3 Polish men alive. he refuses. the Nazis then tell the Polocks (sorry couldn't help myself) to do the same. they bury the man up to his head and are then ordered to dig him out. once the Jewish fellow is out he is ordered to dig the graves again and this time he does. after he has buried the last Polish person, he is shot in the stomach and left to bleed to death.

i think that's how the story goes. i remember reading it as a senior in high school and it really troubled me.
